Yesterday, when trying to use anikai.to, i got the message that it didn't work with firefox or something. No worries, I gave it time to fix. Today, I got this image.

Recently, a data centre was burned down in the Netherlands, it is likely the one they used (I remember it saying they used megaup.nl)

Hopefully, they will be able to find another server soon.

Naver Webtoon, for one, has rolled out an in-house tool named Toon Radar that embeds invisible watermarks in each chapter. When a pirated copy turns up online, the watermark allows the company to trace it back to the specific account that downloaded it.

Hello everyone, I've been looking everywhere for this, and haven't been able to find something satisfying.

I would like to add live sports to my Jellyfin; I've been looking at threadfin, but I can't find m3mu relevant files.

Would you know where can I find a reliable provider? Looking at fmhy, I find links, but can't automate the scraping to my instance. Is there a way to do this?

Some time back there was a piracy themed meme that I can't seem to find again - I had it stored somewhere but lost it. Maybe someone knows it:

A man, dark skin, with a basecap backwards stares into the off (to the left), leaning on a railing. To the right of him there's some text about him not understanding why his friends use streaming providers instead of just pirating it. Or similar.

Can someone think of the meme, possibly point me to it? I really hate to have lost my copy. Such a good resource to share..

Long story short, I got a couple Apple Music playlists I want offline copies of. How hard is that to do?

If I can get them on Spotify, I know of a couple Spotify scrapers that would let me download them... I think. I've done albums and I've done songs. I've never thrown a whole ass playlist at it (we're talking 500 songs... each).

I'm not gonna stop paying for Apple Music, but offline/archival is nice.

Just crossed 1PB total upload, felt like bragging a bit. I'm sure others who have been at this for years and years would put my numbers to shame, but I was excited to see that 4th digit tick over! :)

Hello all,

I tried to get the apk of DysCalculator from pretty much everywhere, but it just doesn't exist (or I couldn't find it). As a dyscalculic person, I need this app for my daily work and would greatly appreciate any help in getting the apk. The price in my local currency is just way too high and I also use a de googled phone.

The web version is free, but the native app for android is paid

This is during the era when the N64, PS1, SNES, Dreamcast or Sega Genesis were popular. Games back then were released physically via disc or cartridge, meaning distributors or publishers would've implemented anti-piracy (like Lenslok) measures onto physical copies but some knew how to tamper with anti-piracy if they have a computer using other sources of capturing data (floppy disks).

Also, games at the time were 'simple' to torrent but with a catch (dial up was still a thing at the time meaning downloads could take a while if you have a PC). Discs were more straight forward than "torrenting" cartridges (unless you have connections with the manufacturer on smuggling circuit boards). Like with movies, games that came on discs were "torrented" through CDs by using a PC.

Some that might interest folks here:

  • Real Player - The inventors of streaming & the poster child for enshittification
  • iRiver - perhaps the first major MP3 (and OGG!) player. DRM & iTunes not required.
  • Napster - P2P for the early adopters
  • KaZaA, Limewire & Bearshare - P2P for the masses. (And BTW the source of my user name: klu9 = KaZaA Lite User 9)
  • MP3.com - At first indie artists uploading their own materials, then users uploading their own CDs
  • Radio.Blog.Club - Embed an MP3 in your blog
  • Grooveshark - Streaming all music
  • Usenet - A shadow of its former self but still a bastion of binaries

Personally, got started with Audiogalaxy, went all in with Morpheus & KaZaA Lite. Loved Grooveshark, discovered so much there. Still have a few RMVB (Real Media Variable Bitrate) videos burned on DVD-Rs somewhere.

Hi everyone, I recently installed Adobe programs and when I open them I get this window where it says to accept Adobe's terms and conditions and even if I press "Accept" the app closes (I think it crashes)... does anyone know how to help me? I'm on Mac
