They can last forever, or you can push them too hard with too little cooling to save money. Almost all bulbs seem to do this.

When was the last time someone checked the lead levels in the drinking water in North Carolina?

It's the US. I'm sure it was checked, found to be dangerously high, they determined that work needed to be done immediately and then it just wasn't done.

I'm not saying floating solar panels can't make sense, but it's weird to see them here.

Australia is, after all, famous for its shortage of land and plentiful water.

Hey, I've been sitting here in the garage with the car running for hours and nothing's happening. The car's gone from 76% battery to 72%. Do I have to wait for it to go all the way to zero?

You don't need faster RAM because your system is designed around slow RAM.

If you had faster system RAM, overflowing GPU VRAM wouldn't be such a big deal and much faster iGPUs would be viable.

If you had massively faster system RAM, video cards wouldn't really need VRAM at all.

Note that this isn't vkd3d-proton, the d3d12 implementation that Valve's Proton and most gamers are using.

As a paid search engine, Kagi actually prioritises doing what users want.

Want AI? It's available. Don't want AI? Turn it off and you'll never see it again.

I'm absolutely certain he personally will do fine.

"We did it, we time travelled!"

"But to what year?"

"Let me ask that guy over there."

"What's up with the president?"

"Republican idiot's starting a war over oil."

"I have no idea."

  1. The feedback window decided to annoy me by popping up by itself.

  2. I figured I might as well complain about the weather radar taking more clicks to access the information I want.

  3. The feedback window broke because the BOM site now relies on scripts from Google's reCAPTCHA service which my browser blocks by default. Yes, I know this is mostly on me, but it was just the icing on the cake.

Just two years ago my car's 50 kWh battery weighed around 350 kg, now you can get a 45 kWh battery that fits in the palm of your hand!

Something about fibre to the node inspired me.
