Even here in the Midwest I feel the same. I’d rather have the sunlight during my time, not while I’m at work.

Complete opposite experience for my office. Calls drop randomly, consultative transfers don’t work, holds don’t always reconnect. Had none of these issues when we had Skype for Business. Even had a VoIP consultant firm come in to review our issues, they couldn’t fix them.
I was fine with teams when we only used it for meetings, team chats, and IM.
We at least have the option of buying an older ICE vehicle that doesn’t include that nonsense. Although yes, that will likely come with higher maintenance and repair costs due to the age.
Either way, the telemetry issue needs to end on vehicles entirely.
It is a valid point. I have a coworker whose wife has a Tesla. They recently moved but had been searching for a place for about 6 months. Luckily, their previous place allowed them to sign a month-to-month lease while they searched.
They found a nice rental home with a garage that was wired for 240v (yes we’re in the US) and signed the lease. Only for them to find out the 240v outlet wouldn’t work because someone had stole the wiring. Landlord won’t fix it, so they have to use the slow Level 1 charger. She now cannot use the vehicle for work related trips without using a public charging station because of the distance.
You can enable extended service updates for windows 10. Check https://massgrave.dev/ for more info. Gives you ~2.5 more years of security patches.
Depends on how you view it. If you’re just a buyer, I feel it’s pretty easy to spot scams. Though there are absolutely exceptions to that.
As a seller though, a constant barrage of scammers, dumbasses, and low ballers alike.
I fully agree about the moderation. I don’t think there is enough moderators to keep up with how many listings are up.
Unfortunately a side hustle for me is buying cars, putting in some work, and flipping them. Facebook Marketplace has a grasp on the personal classified ads. Craigslist still exists, but results are slim in my area.
I really hate it because I’ll go to look at cars, but end up scrolling mindlessly on the feed.
Thank you for the kind words!
I’ve never had a horse, but I’ve been around some of my friend’s parents who have horses. One runs a boarding stable and it seems like quite the handful! Though, like most animals that investment is always worth it. How old is your mare?
Thank you for the kind words!
Despite how empty I feel, I am still proud of myself for finally getting that off my chest. I was wanting to ask for months, but held off because I was scared it wouldn’t work out. As soon as I asked her, I felt like a pallet of bricks was lifted off my shoulders.
I confessed to my situationship of almost 2 years that I had feelings the other day, she didn’t feel the same way. So probably not doing anything fun, all my close friends are in relationships and have plans for V-Day.
Probably journaling and watching YouTube all day unfortunately. It’s been a rough week.
However, I hope you enjoy your trail ride! What got you into horse riding?
I’ve tried nobara and I do like it. However for a beginner to Linux, I’d recommend popos or Linux mint.
I feel like a lot of the more gaming oriented distros tend to be less stable and can present obstacles later down the line. Just my personal experience.
I switch between cast iron and stainless steel. Tomato sauces and other acidic foods/sauces eat away at the seasoning on the cast iron, so that is where the stainless comes in handy for me.
The stainless is also a lot easier to clean and maintain.
They both need preheating to effectively become non-stick, which has caused my ADHD ridden brain to mess up both of my pans. I turn the stove on to preheat, walk away to do something else, and forget about it. The cast iron has had its seasoning burned off, and required a lot of work to get it back in shape. The stainless now has a bulge on the bottom, making it take much longer to preheat, and is now wobbly. This is just a personal flaw lol
