Guilty until proven innocent

Social media is here to connect people and ideas. If you have power hungry gatekeepers everywhere and information is heavily filtered, it's no longer a useful source of information or "Social" anything.

People on Lemmy just fight, man. I guess I tried to save them some spit.

Exactly. That's my line. As soon as it exits the butthole, you can name it.

it was a shadow of a wooden texture, i liked the pic, made it in 3 minutes. Not too much thought, just shitposting.

Definition of shitpost: Shitposting refers to the act of posting low-quality, off-topic, or intentionally absurd content online—such as memes, nonsensical text, or provocative remarks—with the primary goal of derailing discussions, provoking reactions, or causing confusion with minimal effort. This is provocative and means to cause confusion, discussions, reaction with minimal effort.

I mean you have the utmost expert there for whatever the hell you want. Understand it has biases and flaws like any teacher. But damn you're missing out if you didn't have deep talks about philosophy, examine your studies deeper. I don't mind who uses it or not, just feeling a bit of intolerance here in Lemmy I didn't expect, just a curious note.

Completely agree.

Most rational comment I've read. I'm going to have fun on Lemmy, I do appreciate you can be very unpopular and it doesn't silence you. Appreciate your comment too :)

Hope this is useful!

Lemmy's design is focused on quality content by ditching the Karma farmers and addicts. No more chasing upvotes—people here actually focus on real value instead of feeding the ego.

EDIT: I know there are upvotes and downvotes, but the problem with Reddit is you can't post in most communities if your karma or reputation is bad. This is a big problem because herd mentality prevails there and if ypu have unpopular opinions you're basically censored.

Lemmy isn't designed to milk ypur dopamine with notifications every 10 upvotes, so you focus more on posting valuable cont instead of farming for approval and upvotes.
