I've been through it with this shit at my last two workplaces. People are willing to claim the output is solid because they can just keep running agents non stop to fix their issues and run a quick skim over the output, a bit of extra agentic use to run some tests and call it a day. They don't care about code quality anymore, if it runs, ship it.

I've seen people ship a ton of features at once. 3 PRs in a day, 250 file changes. Just quick skim it, or even better, get a senior dev to run the diff through another agent and have that agent review the code because the senior is too overworked on reviewing slop he has to outsource his job too. Approve it.

And when it breaks we just cross our fingers because nobody knows how any of it works.

There are examples of weird masculine bullshit in plenty of cultures predating capitalism. Now whether you want to argue in those cultures that their own class structure was feeding in or fed from the masculinity shit idk that's for you to decide, but I think there's a wealth of evidence to dispel the notion that simply fixing class issues would automatically fix patriarchy somehow.

I always see this and not that it's wrong, but I feel like it doesn't give the full scope. While you're active duty you have the option to practically live rent and food free if you want. Decent healthcare for the whole family, possibly college tuition for not only you but also your kids. Outside of specific union jobs you really can't get this anywhere else. Also you can retire after like 20 years and collect a paycheck while you do a different job.

Yes the income brackets for enlistment have moved upward in recent decades, and I do think that is due mostly to that income bracket being more easily propagandized, but we all know the stats on how desperate for money even the "middle classes are" so it feels weird to act like it's a bunch of petit bourgeois people doing the enlistment when it's not.

I've seen a lot of people say this and while I'm someone with probably one of the most severe cases of ADHD I know of, and who has been personally the target of the term a lot my entire life I tend to fall in the camp of something I personally dislike the use of, but i don't feel as intensely about it as I do derogatory uses of like gay or the f word.

Such bullshit lmao. They don't give a fuck about user privacy, it hasn't been an issue for years that the Internet archive has been available. It's quite the opposite, they want to continue to be able to monetize user data, and companies scraping the way back machine threaten that.
