Oh it mixes really well! You should try plain cream cheese (Frischkäse) with a chocolate spread of your choice. Mix it a bit on a slice of bread.
Milka even sold that premixed for a while, but it wasn't as good as just doing it yourself.

In Spanish "años" would be "years" and "anos" would be "anuses". No idea about Portuguese though

Mastodon: fediscience.org , that's for all kind of science. Sign-ups requirements are to give your ORCID (persistent identifier for scientist in case of name changes etc)

I feel you. I type in three languages, and Gboard is the only one able to handle that.
I can't wait for the day when I can finally ditch it

Öffi (https://f-droid.org/packages/de.schildbach.oeffi/) claims that it offers Sydney, but I've only used it in Europe.
Where I've used Öffi, it's at least as good as the official app, sometimes better.

How does the Finnish course compare to Duolingo?

I just discovered Nordwolle thanks to "Lage der Nation" (https://chaos.social/@lagedernation) ! Production is only on-demand to avoid over-production, so it might take several weeks before your order arrives.

They are situated in north-east Germany, where I lived as kid for a long time, which is a region struggling with infrastructure and far-right tendencies.

Nordwolle is a light house of compassion and democratic values in the area! They predominantly employ refugees, make sure they earn a livable wage (16€/h + bonuses), and help with all the bureaucratic nonsense.

I'm looking for some service to replace Backblaze.
Hetzner storage box would probably be an option, but I need something that is parent-proof. I also have no experience with setting up servers, so I would be extremely worried about fail safes for anything self-hosted.
I'm happy to pay for a service, so I'm not restricted by that.

I came across the website a few days ago.
It is a curated market place of brands that fullfil self-defined ethics and sustainability criteria.
The website owners are Dutch as far as I can tell, and many brands are European, with often made in Europe products.
Not everything is made in Europe, but they are pretty transparent about it.

I'm looking for a laptop repair shop to switch the CPU cooling on my Framework.
There are guides available online, I just lack the confidence to do it myself.
I also tried reaching out to the hackerspace in Aarhus N via email, but no response so far. I'd prefer something that can do it the same day (I have all the tools and the replacement PTM).

I'm currently looking for glass food storage containers (freezer safe, oven safe as a bonus).

My search so far has only turned up Pyrex Europe, which is an American company but produces exclusively in France.

Other brands I've checked:

  • Orthex: imports their glassware from abroad, and does not produce it in Sweden/Finland (confirmed via email, still waiting on the actual country) Edit: confirmed made in China by their support.
  • Glasslock: offices and warehouses in Germany, production in South Korea
  • Luminarc: French company, produced in UAE
  • Duralex: French company, made in France. Does not deliver outside of France (EU website is "under construction"). I reached out about the broken website.
  • IKEA 365: Swedish company, glass made in different countries (confirmed France, Czech Republic). Lids made in China.
  • Weck: German company, probably made in Germany. Not ideal shapes, and while theoretically freezer proof, not meant for that.
  • Frigoverre by Bormilio Luigi: comment said produced in Europe and China, their own website does not show a production site outside of Europe. No direct sales from their website, no local retailer for me.
  • vilde.pl seems to produce in Poland, but not what I am looking for
  • Kuhn Rikon produces in Switzerland, but no delivery for me
  • Status Innovation seems to produce in Slovenia

So I'd appreciate any tips and I will update the list with what I find.

Edit: Seems like Duralex fits the criteria but does not deliver outside of France. Please keep additional suggestions coming!

Current top list:

  • Duralex if the EU website would work
  • Frigoverre if there would be direct sales or a local retailer
  • Kuhn Rikon if they would deliver to me
  • Status Innovation seems to produce in Slovenia
  • IKEA 365 despite the Chinese lid
  • Weck, because the shape is just not practical for me and they do go beyond 500 ml.
  • Pyrex Europe, made in France, but US company.
