Ah yes, troglodyte diplomacy.

It had to be normal running it on a RPi2 at one point though, right? I remember it was already around when that pi was still new.

I'm not clear on what things HA can actually do, really... I just saw it as a glorified remote control mostly I guess 😅

I'm planning to install it on a spare old RPi2. I hope it'll be powerful enough. I have Broadlink RM pro that I can't wait to use without the horrible proprietary app for it.

I do love my Casio F-91W. A true classic.

fwiw I think you are completely right for asking this. Violence-loving freaks around here, sometimes.

Thanks I hate it.

This is great, thank you for sharing!

A Lego figure of a tree and an owl.

I recently found out about this Lego tree outfit and it was just too perfect to not pick it up. And, thankfully, it turns out it's relatively cheap to order Lego for this kind of stuff! And I could use a free program that worked on Linux to design it beforehand so I knew exactly what pieces to order! (Bricklink studio).

This is my Symic hybrid Artificer Boomhoofd, based on this forum post I found a long time ago. He is completely minmaxed for grappling, which I have a lot of fun with.

I styled him after a tree—that is, this is an insane former elf that made himself a tree-shaped Armor of Magical Strength and claims to be a tree. No-one believes this, of course, but he remains adamant. Being a symic hybrid, he has two extra appendages with which he can also grapple. In this case tree branches.

The armor is filled with hatches, gears, hidden shutes, you name it. Very mechanical, and all his spells are also flavored to be something like, a hatch opens, a spray of this and this shoots out.

Of course, the new 2024 rules will significantly hamper his grappling abilities, so I'm hoping our DM will be lenient with those specific new rules...

Also shown is his homunculus servant, an owl.

I'm using labwc at the moment and I was missing something like this. Next up is installing batsignal for battery notifications.

I was annoyed by my default terminal bell sound and that got me thinking!
