It's funny that you're right, but not in the way I think you intended. Now you don't have to hand it out because it's persistently available and tied to everything you do online! It's clear you're being contrarian and aren't making points in good faith, so this isn't for you, but to anyone else reading I recommend checking out EFF's post on the subject.

The issue isn't with being identifiable, it's with control over who has access to your identity. Even back when IDs were introduced, people would take issue with them being copied and sold by the bale to literally anyone who asks.

Hey that's a great perspective, thanks for sharing. Do you ever regret your reliance on keeping your eyes on the sheet, or wish you could improvise better for example? At what point in your learning did this become an issue for you or people you know?

We're probably approaching this from very different skill perspectives. I think your concerns, though clearly valid, only apply beyond a certain level of mastery. The question I was originally replying to was asking for ways to engage other senses while learning piano, so I assumed perhaps incorrectly that they are not past that point yet. I am a terrible piano player, but I tutor intro to music/piano, so I was giving the tips I use on my tutees. If you still struggle to read music, then I firmly hold that you should always read it while playing, but I will defer to others on tips for people beyond grasping the basics.

I don't know what I wrote that indicates I care about who it favors, but that's not the point. Mail-in voting increases voter turnout, so making mail-in voting harder or less accessible is vote suppression. Vote suppression is bad for democracy. That's it.

Read sheet music while playing (every time, even if you've memorized it), sing or hum the melody aloud, tap the rhythm out with your non-sostenuto foot.

Nah, it's pure vote tampering, well-worth hating the Republican administration for. People will forget, people have busy lives, much more than people will decide to send in the ballot early and they know that. As a bonus it would no longer give people a deadline to convene around -- will the ballot be delivered in two days? Three? What about a mail delay? Idk how you could see this as anything but despicable thuggery.

The value of a z-index is... completely invalidated by a higher stacking context

Synchronicities.

I notice a common pattern for voicing characters like Sméagol (Lord of the Rings), Stitch (Lilo & Stitch), Mogwai (Gremlins), and Jar Jar Binks (Star Wars Ep. 1) that involves falsetto and raising the back of the tongue to the roof of the mouth while talking. Is there a common name for that technique?

I haven't found much discussion around this topic, so if anyone has links to existing articles or posts I'd appreciate it! Are there any concerns with the BIOS getting out-of-date if running SteamOS on a device that comes with Windows installed by default? A Lenovo support page, for example, specifies that the version is for devices running Windows. If you want to update the BIOS, do you have to reinstall Windows first?

Any info here would be a big help.

I'm looking for an album, probably R&B or hiphop, that has a specific interlude track. It's between actual songs, so the lyrics don't seem to be listed anywhere that I've searched.

The audio is a black woman talking to herself, and every so often a gospel choir will respond melodically to what she says. I don't quite remember what she was talking about but I think it was meant to be motivational or building herself up. There are some angelic or heavenly sounds like birds chirping. The only words I remember are:

Woman: "You feel me?" Choir: in unison "We feel you!"

It was probably from the late 90's or early 00's when CDs were still a thing.
