This community was created years ago by a now inactive member and left languishing all that time. I have now been handed this community and think of it as an extension to !steamdeck@sopuli.xyz, basically for stuff that's related to SteamOS and SteamOS hardware but maybe a bit out of scope of the main community, notably non-Valve SteamOS hardware – either custom builds or by OEMs like Lenovo that licensed SteamOS.

Stuff about Valve's own hardware can be posted here. I will not make a rule that forbids that, but IMO !steamdeck@sopuli.xyz is the main comm and I will keep posting there and possibly cross-posting here.

Open Gamepad UI is a free and open source game launcher and overlay written using the Godot Game Engine 4 designed with a gamepad native experience in mind. Its goal is to provide an open and extendable foundation to launch and play games. It also implements a gamepad input system that can allow you to remap gamepad input to mouse and keyboard inputs.

I haven't found much discussion around this topic, so if anyone has links to existing articles or posts I'd appreciate it! Are there any concerns with the BIOS getting out-of-date if running SteamOS on a device that comes with Windows installed by default? A Lenovo support page, for example, specifies that the version is for devices running Windows. If you want to update the BIOS, do you have to reinstall Windows first?

Any info here would be a big help.
