because they don't need refugee status. They're utilizing this as loop hole to circumvent proper methods of immigration. you know like the people who literally pay thousands of dollars to properly immigrate to the US. These people aren't fleeing anything remotely close to an emergency or crisis they're simply immigrating while saving a few bucks in the process.

This is also a very easy way for the current administration to bring in more white people who share the same views and opinions of said administration. it's text book fascism. kick out the colored bring in the right white.

as others have stated if you've spent any time in the corporate world, especially the tech industry, you'd realize that they simply don't think that far ahead. They live in the now. They live by the quarter. beyond that there's no point in thinking about 2 to 5 years down the line. As long as they're making money now then that's all that matters.

It's the same with billionaires and the wealthy. They can't think that far ahead, they don't need to. They don't need a retirement plan, they can stop whenever they want. But who will cook their food? produce their goods? etc? who cares they aren't thinking about that. they live in the now, quarter to quarter.

it can be if you want it to be. I will say though, while I do love NixOS and it's my favourite distro, might be a bit of overkill if you just want something to game on. That said it can be done easily.

you can pretty much tailor it to however you want it. configure it how you want, however you want. Hell you could run the distro without installing anything if you so wished and still be able to game.

My friend and I camped out for the original Xbox launch (I was only going to pick up Metal Gear Solid 2 which launched the same night). he had saved up his money from his job to buy the system, 2 controllers and 1 game. Now you're assuming it's Halo...no...he wanted Cel Damage. The game was a cel shaded twisted metal style game. That's all he wanted. I convinced him to also pick up Halo because I had read good things about it in some gaming mag. I said I would go halves on it with him and call it an early birthday present.

We go back to his place and we play like one round of Cel Damage and then stay up the entire night playing Halo.

yeah at UofA of all places, a place that has quite a big CS department. these kids are graduating in hopes of getting jobs that simply don't exist for them. they have every right to boo him.

I went to high school in Tucson and would routinely go to the UofA for LAN Parties. They also had an awesome Arcade on campus. UofA is the last place to go gloating about AI taking jobs.

I've been having issues with Window Managers lately either mouse or keyboard issues when gaming and my annoyance after using them for a solid couple years when it comes to configuring them. So I asked "can't I just make Plasma look like one?" answer is yes.

It tiles the same way DWL or another WM does, made the status bar to also look the same. I prefer Konsole now over other terminal emulators so I just left it as is. My Plasma is now essentially a tiling WM without the headaches of a tiling WM and everything now just works.

I've been using Qobuz for about a month now and have been adding tracks to a single playlist. I then discovered that qobuz has a 2000 track limit for playlists. I don't like that. I like having all my music in one place so I can shuffle it all and not think about it.

However for favourites there doesn't appear to be a limit. So what was the solution? Favourite all my tracks in my playlist. But I had 1998 tracks and instead of clicking on each track one by one I made a script to do it for me.

https://codeberg.org/rozodru/qbzfavs

it's pretty simple and fetches all your tracks and then bulk favourites them in batches of 50.

DISCLAIMER: This script uses Qobuz's private/unofficial API, which is not publicly documented or supported. It may break at any time if Qobuz changes their API. Use at your own risk and in accordance with Qobuz's terms of service.
