I haven't actually fired it up in a while, but Gedonia might be up your alley.

Looks like a sequel is currently in early access, too.

Wow, I haven't fired this game up in probably 25+ years. Had no idea it was still being played at all.

It is reasonable to believe A) AIs are a poor substitute for a human at most jobs, and B) company management is still going to replace people in search of short-term profits, even at the expense of long-term stability.

Those two things are not contradictory.

Second, "AIs cannot create new, original things" is not the opposite of "AI can produce deepfakes". That would be like saying every shuffle of a deck of cards is functionally unique (true), therefore I invented a new card game (false).

Peanuts are neither peas, nor nuts. Discuss.

Covid numbers wouldn't be so bad if we stop testing, and ocean health won't get worse if we stop measuring.

Not just music! (Though that is probably the strongest example)

It's telling how many people are nostalgic for a society that only existed before they were born. Recent History education sucks.

I had one where I dreamed I was in my bedroom, and there was some bright shiny...thing?...on my floor. Like a glowing dot, too bright to make out any details. So I went over and picked it up; it was maybe the size of a marble. I could start to see through the light and make out a few details, but kept putting it closer and closer to my face to try and get a better view. Soon, it was clear that it was my bedroom, and when I had the thing almost right at my eyeballs, I realized my eyes were open and I was awake.

So I guess I was slowly opening my eyes, but dreaming "around" the tunnel vision? Super strange experience.

"Testing your faith" sounds like tricking people into not believing. Which is exactly what they accuse their devil of doing. This god sounds like kind of an asshole.
