Don't know anything about perfume but just had to say I love your username
Where is the patch?
Your proposed "simplification" kind of hinges on the idea that higher taxes are inherently bad.
I'd be fine with my taxes being raised to support schools, public transportation, affordable housing, social programs, and other things that support an overall healthier community. I don't want my taxes raised to increase policing, subsidize luxury housing, or develop car-centric infrastructure.
Nobody wants to work (at serial killing) anymore
I wonder if it's less so the views and moreso how you express them? I am actually in agreement work all of your listed views, but this post was off-putting to me. I wonder if you're coming across somewhat "woe is me" or possibly "I'm so edgy" because with a few limited sentences you have to give the broad strokes of who you are, you talk about things that you think make you unlikeable.
It's not lying to not put that stuff in your profile. Take it out, go on some dates, and talk about that stuff when it naturally comes up.
I could see an exception to that being to state in your profile that you don't want kids. I would say that, though, not that you're "antinatalist."
I knew that young people don't seem to know how to use computers but it didn't occur to me that even touch typing would be done away with. They all have had Chromebooks forced into their classrooms, they can't put Mavis Beacon on there? Not being taught to type really explains why many seem to struggle with computers generally, though. Everything is so much more difficult when it's so slow.
Also a millennial. Are younger people not learning to type in school?
A problem I've seen also is creating a niche community because you don't want to just get the general content, but since there's simple fewer users it's just dead. And when someone else thinks about switching to Lemmy, they see a bunch of dead communities and are like "oh this site is dead."
It's annoying but on a newer site(/federation of sites) those niche communities need to be conversations that start in a more generalized community that enough people want to branch it off into it's own thing. So there's already core users, so it's not DOA.
Unless they get banned
The problem with that is that any product that was good three years ago is far from guaranteed to be good now. Everything is getting shittier and less consistent. Any given product run manufactured in a different factory than the last run if there's a lower bidder. I don't trust reviews older than like six months at this point.
Christ, this is so fucking lazy
