I have been using xfce on top of wayfire (on Arch) for several months now and it works for me. If you want, you can even try out wayfire by itself and easily switch back and forth between the two.

Me? Not really. The people I hear complaining the most are those that:
- have no clue where their tax dollars go.
- are most likely to make use of government services, and complain the loudest if those services are changed or removed.
- think we pay FAR more taxes than every other country (am in Canada).
Does that work for you on this particular link? I tried that, but it seems thestar is doing some trickery to make reader view not work.

If you can, try deleting all the partitions and re-create them using GPT instead of DOS (MBR) and see if it then shows the same. Also agree that you should make your boot partition 1G.

The "main" version is built on Ubuntu. There is a Debian based version (LMDE), but the Ubuntu based one is the "recommended" one.
