I don't think its fair to say just conservatives will abuse such a system anyone and everyone with an agenda to push will.

Well we do live in a capitalist society and capital is a zero sum game so it is a zero sum game just slightly more abstract.

It infuriates me. People dropping half my weekly food budget on 1 meal just so some underpaid bastard can deliver it to ur door. Then they complain about cost of living. I would spend about a quarter as much as what most people I know do on food per week and I'm eating like a fucking king prime cuts of steek 3 times a week, fresh fruit and veg, the fancy bread, etc. And I'm still winning economically. And we haven't even got to the health benefits of not eating fake shit full of sugar 7days a week.

So what are they giving themselves the right to censor? Or just making it technically possible to do it?

Those are dangerous as those can be flashed with secure foss operating systems that allow turning off cell so they can't be easily tracked.

I can cook a decent meal. I though it was a basic skill bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs etc. But almost everyone I know buys take away or makes the most basic of basic food.

Why bother when u can just put everyone's faces in a facial recognition database and track them that way.

Let me guess another attempt to enforce encryption backdoor?

[–] muntedcrocodile@lemm.ee 2 points 10 months ago

I can't unfortunately. They only feature I use is that fact I can access my ipv6 only server via an ipv4 only network.

I like how lemm.ee didn't defederated very many people and maintained a chill vibe in terms of moderation.

What instances have similar vibe?

Edit: I been looking into it and seems that an instance with a similar outlook on federation and not full of power tripping admins censoring is hilariouschaos.com

It seems that the project has been archived. I found a fork that is 19 commits ahead but it doesn't seem very active.

is it safe to use the old version? should i use the fork? are their alternatives that i should be using instead?

My goal is to be able to query and interact with the blockchain in a pythonic way.

If so what's the feature compatibility like? Can u run android apks through a VM?

The automod banned me from literally every community on this instance then I got unbanned from literally every community can someone explain why?

Community focused on world news with ai summaries to allowing you to stay up to date without as heigh of a time investment.

Check out !news_summary@hilariouschaos.com

I'm welcoming to all political opinions and viewpoints (just engage in good faith and don't call for actionable violence) i try to avoid taking mod action against users unless absolutely nessasary.

I'm seeing a lot of new users coming from reddit. I would if you are new and want a place to keep up to date and express ur views in a place that won't censor you please join.

There is this post complaining me not silencing opinions they don't like. Would I be welcome to move my community to this instance and allow discussion like seen in this thread: https://lemmy.dbzer0.com/post/37235684

found this in an extension description today:

Why not use the Dev Containers from VS Code? Because Microsoft Devcontainer is a proprietary extension incompatible with VS Codium.

Why it is not on VS Code Marketplace? Because Microsoft is a VS Code gatekeeper and won't allow anyone to publish an extension if it uses Proposed API. Except Microsoft and its "partners", of course.

Meanwhile, these API are the only way to implement an extension like Open Remote SSH or Devcontainers.

Microsoft promises to allow everyone to use these API and publish extensions based on them in the future, once these API are "stable". But it's been many years since Microsoft first published an extension backed by a proposed API. It has also published many other extensions supported by the same API. However, the API is "unstable" and doesn't seem to be going to stabilise anytime soon.

Title says it all.

Posts on !news_summary@lemmy.dbzer0.com seem to exist on dbzer but dont seem to be getting federated across to lemm.ee. That site thats hows the federation lag of any 2 given instances indicate that there are no issues? Whats going on here?
