Just recent started this game, and honestly? It's pretty neat so far. Still a long way to beating it, but my only kind of gripe (that's just a personal thing), is that the dialog is too modern. You've got this really cool old retro game, but the dialogue really sounds like a 2020s game. Again, it's just a personal thing, but it does bother me as I play more.

This is probably the best server to start on. Private server that is basically the most beloved period of it. Still has a community and everything.
Blackwater is actually a fan mod of Ashes. It remixes levels and weapons, as well as tuning for difficulty. Haven't tried it yet, but it does look fun. The third/end of Ashes is Death Zone. But there is a lot of stuff being made by a lot of talented devs in the Ashes scene. It's pretty neat.
The sequel (Ashes: Afterglow) is even better. I'm not saying 2063 is bad or anything, far from it, but the sequel is just showing how much they learned on the original. Both are worth your time, and the third is in dev currently.
It makes the wall go faster.
It is one of the best adaptations I've seen for the novel, even though they kind of botch part of the last bits.
This just in, a game developer is working on a new game.
Not 100% the same thing, but There Will Be Brawl was fun. Kirby was a Hannibal Lecter killer in that show.
