@fourish

You can look up the fines in Scandinavian countries. Its quite sane and satisfactory.

They aren't fined too much, just enough so it makes sense to not speed anymore.

@T00l_shed

Accountability, responsibility.

Sweden and others have a sliding fine with no top end, based on the income of those being fined.

A baker speeding 90 in a 70, gets a 154.00, but the billionaire doing 90 in a 70 gets fined $14,675.00.

So as to make the pain of the fine equal for all.

Pennies. These people are billionaires, they should pay fines.

Cross-fedi threading needs attention, choices and discisions. What went by is appreciated, better coming.

@shittydwarf

In the meantime....

Le Monde, the paper of record in France, elects its editorial board.

The invader bought 98% of 🇨🇦 english newspapers to soften us up, make us happy to be made slaves, to make us look forward to ICE in the streets of Toronto and Montreal.

We cant let the editorial choices of the invader run news.

Let's pass a federal law that foreign owned news press must have elected editorial boards. Like world famous Le Monde.

Because invasion

Wikipedia Le Monde newspaper France "Independence To avoid shareholder pressure on journalists, as can occur in some media outlets, Le Monde has adopted specific governance safeguards. Under the newspaper's statutes, the appointment of the editor-in-chief must be approved by at least 60% of the journalists on staff." ...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Monde

It was a present, they didn't want to spoil how good a show they'd made.

@reddig33 @Kirk

Lol.
People LOVE being on Trek.
My jaw dropped as director David Cronenberg walked into frame as a federation official, Whoopie Goldberg gave years to Trek. This year's villain has long lusted after a juicy role in Trek, Paul Giamatti, talked long on Stephen Colbert's censored show about their DELIGHT at being on Trek.

Colbert is also happily on Star Trek this year.

Holly Hunter, Michelle Yeoh yeah, they lurve star trek, loff it. Very happy campers.
