@Shellofbiomatter@lemmus.org I am likely many miles away, but I am here with you.

Today I'm going to plant some seedlings in the earth and say your name. When you next have the opportunity, please do similar for me.

We are not selfish, we are taking care of each other, little bit by bit. You are not alone. We are never alone.

In the US at least, there's huge, decades-old tariffs on Chinese solar panels. The rest is red tape of varying importance (engineering, land use, permitting, legal and financial agreements, community buy-in, interconnection queues, etc.) I'd guess it takes between 3-7 years to conceptualize a solar plant and getting it operational.

You also need solar to support the AI ~~bubble~~ data centers. It's a no brainer.

This was inevitable, there's no mass AI without solar (for better or worse). Solar is critical to utility scale power even before additional consumption!

Maybe don't lease solar panels installed on your own home, and definitely watch out for purchasing panels through a loan from the provider/installer such that it allows a lien on your property.

Look into community solar if it's available in your area! It doesn't matter if you own a house or even if your space is a good place to put solar panels. You can buy into these bigger, more efficient projects and get the benefit on your electric bill.

Extra funny when you learn what Chat GPT sounds like in French (chat, j'ai pété)

The goal isn't to actually prevent those people from playing the game, obviously that's not possible. The goal is to piss them off so it's obvious to the other people they would be playing with that they are not fun or maybe safe to be around.

Slander, our sun isn't even big enough to super nova!

Beautiful! I love the moss stitch, it's very easy to get into a groove with and has a really nice texture as a result.

If you're worried about the increase/decrease being noticeable, I'd recommend a border! The more elaborate, the more it'll disguise any defect (so limited results from a single stitch border and better results with scalloped for instance). But also don't forget, you always have to have at least one error in your work or else you'll trap your soul in it 😉

As I understand it, the reason sheep are so good is that they don't graze up, so they're unlikely to try munching on any power cords (unlike goats). I don't know enough about cows to say definitively, but my guess is that you're going to need the solar panels up high enough for them to be comfortable, and also sturdy enough that a leaning cow won't knock them over. So it may work but the additional considerations could prove more expensive.

She's not a child anymore Joanne, she's in her 30s. Is it really that hard to consider that you might be wrong? You don't reach enlightenment when you become a billionaire y'know.

They are often in red areas of blue states as well, simply from a population density perspective. You don't put large turbines in cities, it would be unsafe (all turbines need to have a certain distance from other structures including other turbines in case they fall over or launch ice from their blades or something).
