I appreciate the pragmatism, and for what it's worth, I agree with your logic but voters aren’t pragmatists. They engage emotionally, which is why reactionary movements thrive.

Republicans offered an identity rooted in tribalism, fueled by fear, anger, and even hatred. Yet even a hateful tribe is still a tribe. In an era of loneliness and division, the group that accepts you flaws and all holds a powerful advantage. The side effect? Politics becomes emotional, not intellectual.

And let’s be honest: It’s hard to blame voters for disengaging. First-past-the-post, 'lesser of two evils' voting is demotivational at its core.

When every election feels like damage control, idealism withers.

That sounds an awful lot like the blaming the user. Maybe it really is the slackware of coffee.

Assuming you could process it without ill effects.

If you thought having Nestle was bad, Can you imagine if BP was involved in food?

You can't investigate employee abuse allegations months after the fact, everything there is circumstantial and proving anything after the fact is near impossible.

This was obviously an act done to cover the business. I'm not saying they are wrong to do so. I'm just saying that anyone expected any other outcome isn't living in reality.

They mentioned the ATF. It was explicitly US centric and while a bit hyperbolic it is becoming more common there.

I mean Mac OS has its place. There's a reason so many music producers and coders choose that OS. It's a rock solid stable approach for those use cases.

That being said, personally I would always prefer Linux but that's mostly because I don't do those things.

I don't even particularly hate windows, I just like PopOS better
