It would be great if sites didn’t say I have adblock when I don’t.

Gosh, it sure would be tragic if the military re-discovered fragging.

You can even set it to only show “text message” or “iMessage” in the banner.

School Resource Officers became common before Columbine, starting in black schools in the 1980s. (It’s America, did you think this history wouldn’t be racist as hell?)

Cory Doctorow has pointed out that if you want to see what is planned for white middle income people, look at how prisoners are treated; the same thing can be said about schools in poor neighborhoods. Now having cops handle disciplinary issues at schools is just the standard.

“I’m horny and they’re hot” leads to a lot of shallow “understanding” of someone’s shitty behavior.

Dan Savage has made this point, IIRC he specifically said “pussy should not be a term for a weak person. Pussies are strong. They eat cum and spit out babies.”

As a US citizen, keep the rule. As laid out in the text of the rule, there are already communities where questions of that nature can be asked.

Yeah, building a protective network is much easier when it’s being done by a nation-state’s elite intelligence operation.

Millionaire homeowners sued the city of Charlottesville, Virginia, arguing a 10 square mile town whose new zoning plan to increase density had no plan to expand the roads

Charlottesville, Virginia, spent most of a decade revising its zoning code.

It held endless community meetings.

It gave opponents ample opportunity to make their case.

They lost.

But a handful of rich homeowners sued and have gotten the new Charlottesville zoning code overturned on a technicality.

These millionaire homeowners, who could not persuade Charlottesville residents and could not win at the ballot box, decided they would throw everything they had to nullify their defeat. And it worked 😠
