Very educational and not at all what I asked for. Thank you.

Care to elaborate on what goalpost I've shifted? You said it was lightweight, I didn't agree as I feel like 247MB is far too much for showing a weather forecast that was computed elsewhere.

247MB of RAM sure isn't my idea of lightweight.

They're rather near a monopoly indeed. Imagination, Mali and a few other (minor) competitors still exist, but I guess it wouldn't be fair to begin comparing gaming performance...

Now, yes. Not 10-15 years ago. Not 20 years ago when GPGPU was still a rather obscure concept. The Nvidia problem isn't new regardless of how younglings and newly-enlightened seem to think so.

Nowadays, yes. Wasn't this way 10-15 years ago. I've been against their practices enough to not buy their product these last 20 years, which feels like a very lonely hill to die on.

Not sure if it's part of the joke but that word means "jerk" (as in "jerk off") in Swedish.

Yet all people I hear have bought new computers in the last 15 years (very few exceptions) somehow has Nvidia cards.

Yet people keeps buying their product. It's almost as if voting with your wallet is all that'll ever work.

I know a few. Just because your bubble is functional doesn't mean all of Europe is.
