Reframe your thoughts.

Instead of a continually powered device, this would be perfect for a periodic accumulation -> use device.

I'd like a source on the silica needles?

Unlike gas, which involves destroying your fuel source (investment).

A solar roof on a car is an investment that constantly provides consistent albeit fluctuating dividends.

Every cent counts when spanned over years. Especially when its portable.

I find your comment mean spirited, and I find it distasteful how you refer to others.

Do you refer to everyone you don't know in such manner?

Do you have no empathy towards strangers?

What would your loved ones think of you for that?

Fedora Atomic for user facing devices.

Fedora Server for servers.

wine already has it...

I consider profile pictures as a way to be more visually appealing, and a way to be recognizable more easily.

Why don't you have a profile picture?

I utilize podman on my server for running my software.

Recently, I saw that my server ran out of space on its 8TB raid 10 array. Which immediately raised questions for me.

After using "duc" to analyze my drive. I found that podman had used 4 TB of storage space in "/var/tmp".

Anyone else have this happen to them?

I have an audio disc that I want to produce a one to one ISO of (it has some marks).

When I try to use "ddrescue" to copy it, I get the following error message. ddrescue: /dev/sr0: Unaligned read error. Is sector size correct?.

What am I doing wrong? I would assume "ddrescue" would automatically figure out the sector size.

To note, I want to use "ddrescue" because "abcde" keeps hitting read errors on the disk.

Edit:

Seems that "ddrescue" does not support audio discs (https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/558628).

And "abcde" already uses "cdda paranoia".

ARTICLE 80. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea protects people from other countries who are in exile after struggling for peace, democracy, national independence and socialism and for freedom in scientific and cultural activities.

The premise behind a gravitational sensor is to detect changes to a local space time, in space.

Would it be sorta like how we use sensitive machines to detect vibrations from earthquakes?

Or would it not be possible because the sensor itself would interfere with the readings?

My friend bought these off an old lady for essentially nothing.

They're really heavy too.

What brand are these?

I have a Mitsubishi Electric "MSZ-GL06NA" and live in NYC.

Why does the heat pump never stop when set to the dehumidify mode?

The apartment just keeps getting colder and colder but never any drier(?).

When will it ever stop or Does it need servicing?

I have a Mitsubishi Electric "MSZ-GL06NA".

The vanes seem to not move at all, regardless of any position.

The vane motor makes no noise either that I can hear.

Mitsubishi Electric doesn't provide on the phone help for end users.

And the internet is full of SEO spam.

I tried:

  1. Cutting the power for 1 minute.
  2. Setting vane to open / close and doing #1

Is there an external reset button perhaps, what else should I do for troubleshooting?

Edit 1: Solution found! Steps:

  1. Turn breaker off
  2. Remove front panel
  3. Remove Motor
  4. Twist motor to extremes then back to "closed"
  5. Remove motor wires and reseating
  6. Putt all back together
  7. Turn breaker back on. https://lemmy.ml/comment/18994396

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner.

After we ate, he hugged me and brought me to his bed.

He got a heatpad out, and placed it on my stomach while cuddling me.

I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes.

I typically sleep after 10-15 minutes.

Why did the heatpad knock me out so quickly?

Edit 1: Going to perform a control test (headpad minus the boyfriend) in a few weeks: https://lemmy.world/comment/17421938
