Stoner? Or very heavy coke user 😂

We ain’t out here buying drugs by the pound. It’s grams and ounces unless you’re a shotter but even then you buying in ounces and kilos.

I did not know that. So that confirms my armchair theory 😂.

Unfortunately America wouldn’t let an American appear at The Hague. Like I’m sure they’d send special forces to recover them before that.

America does, and always has, done only what serves America. Biggest threat to world peace for like half their existence.

Why so aggressive dude.

Obviously I’ve heard of the BBC it’s from my country lol. It would be a shit world if all I had was the BBC stations.

Exactly. If you’re doing physical activities for my health reasons, as I am, then it’s the activity itself that gives the value and not chasing PBs.

That said all my life and hobbies have been for the intrinsic value of them rather than to show off to friends or with some end goal in mind. Like it tried to learn Spanish for over a year for no reason other than it was a cool thing to try, then when I drop it it didn’t matter as the goal wasn’t to learn Spanish it was to exercise my curiosity.

Thanks.

I guess everybody is different. I’m a natural introvert that excels at extroversion due to my past. So for me it wasn’t the social thing and in fact I had a hard time getting my friends to climb so had to find a climbing group.

What hooked me about climbing is that it’s a rare sport where I lose myself and my mind goes quite. Like nothing other than guitar practice makes my mind shut up so once I found that I was hooked.

I believe it’s a combination of factors really.

Use it or lose it, the body doesn’t waste energy so if you don’t do physical activities then the body doesn’t see the point in making you more energetic but when you do exercise the body is like we need to prep in case this happens again.

Then you have the brain chemicals like endorphins which boost mood and can give you a boost of energy.

There is a line though, which I noticed with my running, that if I kept pushing for faster and faster times I was tired so much due to fatigue. I now run for the intrinsic value of running, I don’t care to get faster and just run for the fun of it and I’m just full of beans now lol

So then you what? Have one radio station in the country? Or do you want to tax more and more to fund all these new stations.

Weird hill to die on and I’m confused honestly.

Yeah I’ve had password too long messages before lol.

Yeah we have BBC in the UK which I assume is the same as NPR (man I hate that I know so may American terms 😂) , but I want a bit of variety as Classic FM plays more popular songs more often and happy to hear ads to support them although the ads are a bit more high brow on classic FM than say Planet Rock.

If you can stream BBC Radio 3 (UK) that’s classical music with no ads.

As the title says I’ve wanted to get into drones for some time and build my own. Recently figured I’d buy the controller and learn on sims first, but damn the controller seems so expensive since last time I checked.

I was told to go for the best for future proof and landed in TX16S Mark II Max Radio Controller (M2) but at £250 I don’t think I can justify that as the goggles will be expensive too although drone parts should be more reasonable. But what if I get bored etc.

A few nights ago I drove to go and practice hitting some golf balls, I’m terrible, and so decided to stop at a shop on the way there.

Now I’m just in my own world, thoughts flowing constantly and so don’t think much of the shouting as I go into the shop; which has its doors open.

As I go in I can hear someone shouting get out but still I don’t realise he’s talking to me. Then I notice a dude without a shirt on approaching me menacingly, now I’m not a fighter but I instinctively turn into more a fighter stance and receive the hardest thigh kick I’ve ever had as he says leave.

Now you don’t gotta tell me twice I’m done with this shit and straight to golf. As I’m driving the next few minutes to get there I can’t stop thinking about what could be happening to the shop keepers. Not really a fan of the cops but in times like these I thought it necessary to call it in and they say they’ll send someone right out.

I call back the next day to get an update and they take a while to read the notes and say it turned into a serious incident and that an officer would call me. I have a family member in the police so for them to check and turns out it was armed robbery but she didn’t tell me anymore than that.

Just crazy when you’re put into a crazy situation out of nowhere.

Requirements:

  • Able to pirate books and load them on
  • Nice if it can integrate with my arr stack (Sonarr, Radarr, etc)
  • reasonably priced
  • not locked down to anything

That’s it really just a simple e-reader that I can add what I want.

Edit: this is the first post where I got a lot of comments where I wasn’t too overwhelmed to reply to them all. Hard when you wake up to so many replies but trying to be better thanking people for their input.

I’m asking as I’m trying to understand empathy and whether it’s normal to get so invested in fake characters, I mean it’s probably a testament to the writers but I overthink… a lot.

This question was bright on as I’ve been catching up on The Blacklist and at lunch today watching Season 8 Episode name “Anne “ and it wrecked me.

Tap for spoilerBasically the main character Red has to live a guarded life and for once he let it form and got close to Anne and you could tell shit was going to go downhill and it destroyed me when you think about it from his or her perspective.

For reference I’m 41 year old dude, not that it matters.

Edit: Bedtime for me but back tomorrow to reply to all.

Edit 2: I’ve got 41 comments to respond to. Currently working but I’ll be back y’all.

As the title states I’ve got bad hands and my hobbies include Rock Climbing, Piano, Golf, and Running. Suffice to say I can’t do shit.

This was a tricky operation as where the bend was is also where all the nerves and blood vessels are housed so there is risk of termination (loss of) the finger, loss of sensation, blood supply etc.

It was elective but the pros outweigh the risks for me with my hobbies and how they help me stay not sad.

Before. You can also see the scar from my first operation on the ring finger. As well as lots of flaky skin from climbing.

So I saw an ad for this cool looking led strip thing you can put in your car and then it has lots of settings.

Clicked the link and it took me to Temu, figure sure I’ll give it a go and download the app.

OMFG what the heck is this gamified shopping?

When it loaded I swear to Odin it went like a casino and said you can get the item you clicked on for free and you can choose another 5 items.

So I’m browsing through all this crap I don’t really want and adding things to move on. After selecting all free items it then said you win again or something and gave me more things to pick.

Then at the end it’s like right spend $35 to get all the other stuff for free, but said the original thing I clicked to get was not available. It’s like a bait and switch and I’m thinking I don’t any of this really I just wanted the cool led strip thing and to be left alone.

Honestly I really can’t believe people would use this place at all.

As the title says I’m looking for advice from people that have legal experience.

I bought a used car in November 2023 and from the start it had issues. Come February 2024 I can’t drive it anymore as I’m putting coolant in several times in a journey and after a couple of repairs it’s determined it needs a new head gasket. They refuse to pay for it at the finance company so I go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

The FOS rules in my favour and orders them to refund and compensate me and remove the car from my drive.

I’ve had my refund but the car is still on my drive 4 weeks later and the finance company says they’re chasing Zuto to remove the vehicle.

Last week I sent a letter stating if not removed but X date then the rate would be £20 a day for storage. They didn’t respond.

I called again and told them I need this sorting as I will move the car to the street where it will likely be towed for no tax or insurance, but I don’t believe I am legally allowed to do this.

My question is what are my options, and will I be able to get the storage fee of £20 a day from them.

Thanks.

Anybody else had this issue.

I have a media server setup with Plex and Jellyfin and now people here prefer Jellyfin but Plex is available on more devices and my users prefer it.

Now I tried watching several movies on iPhone via Plex app and it kept freezing and I had to exit and start again and half the time it wouldn’t remember where I was. I tried to watch the same movies on Jellyfin, again on iPhone and no issue.

Any thoughts? I did watch a movie at my friends on Plex through Firestick with no issue so not sure if it’s iOS or my home network and Plex or something else.

As the title says I’m curious what quality people choose. I chose Ultra-HD and am a little stunned when I look at the file sizes for some movies at 100GB.

Another question is how can I change the quality and will Radarr remove the existing download and then get a smaller one?

If it helps I have a GPU capable of hardware transcoding.
