I honestly have no idea. I know I’m not very invested in it. It is interesting that they’ve seen enough success to build more games though. So we will see what happens.

Oh hell yeah. Day 1 purchase for me.

https://www.eccothedolphin.com/ seems to have a count down for 4 and a half hours from now. Interesting!

Great read. Makes me feel a lot less alone with the issues I’m facing. Interesting.

Maybe YouTube is the worst platform.

I don’t disagree, they’re all bad. I think reddit stands somewhere in the middle, and it all depends on what you value. For me, the combination of the bot problem and the weird need to hunt people down and harass them was what made me leave. This is specifically what the video I posted is about. The videos title is a little hyperbolic but it was early and I didn’t feel like coming up with a new one, my apologies for the bad headline.

One of the reasons I am here is because the AI/bot problem on reddit is getting too bad. I was a big contributor to the site but I just cannot deal with the slop anymore. I used the platform for like 17 years, but I am done.

I couldn’t go back if I wanted to.

I'd give it a shot. I doubt I'd stick with it though tbh.

I still have mine and I agree. Though I do like the changes on this new one to more mirror the steamdeck.

Most definitely. I figure this is most people’s first exposure to this guy. It’s unsurprising, to say the least. RIP poor girl.

Boom. Exactly. Self hosted solutions are amazing. We have choices about this stuff.

I have plenty of iot devices. Like anything that goes online, it’s how you set it up. If you know how to monitor traffic, it’s not terribly hard to get these things to behave how you want them to.
