Tap for spoilerThey set Homelander up as too powerful to be beaten conventionally, even by a team of supes. So, through a some special circumstances, they give someone the ability to remove even Homelander's powers. All while he goes full "mask off" leaning into the supposed god he claims himself to be. It culminates in a showdown where he is stripped of powers and begs for his life before getting beat to a pulp.

Idk man, promoting the general welfare of Americans would probably include clean water. Just my opinion though.
