What is this even referring to lol

Is this about how communists were critical of the Kurds allying with the USA during the Syrian Civil War? Except I don't remember communists calling for their extermination just more like a warning that you can't ally with imperialists because they'll betray you. And that was true, the USA betrayed the Kurds.

Or is this like a Ukraine-Russia thing? Because I can't even parse who's supposed to be who in this analogy. Or is this an Iran thing because that makes even less sense

Plague still exists mostly as a problem in poor countries without access to antibiotics. I think sheep get it too and it's a problem in livestock.

Also there was a large plague vaccination program in India in the 1890s

At this rate I'll never have a respectable shelf for bric-á-bracs, instead I'll simply be yet another trinketfailure

criminal regimes like Venezuela, Iran, and the DPRK, which are countries that haven't invaded anyone, have zero overseas military bases, have zero vassal nations, and all three of which maintain no diplomacy with the Zionist entity

if that's your criteria for being a garbage criminal regime, what does that make something like the USA or UK? Literal demons? Evil itself?

That reminds me of how Marx himself seems to have seen through time and has a response to nearly every argument, despite being dead for 150 years. But that probably means no one has come up with a better argument in over a century. Like sometimes if I see someone misunderstanding how labor creates value, all you have to do is look at Capital Volume 1, Chapter 1...on page 1.

So could I make liberals finally listen to Marxist theory if I just feed the books to an AI video of Jake Tapper wearing a suit and speaking in a calm neutral tone

Also what even is it with liberals and this source stuff. That's their version of gish-galloping, asking for a million different articles written by nerds no one has ever heard of. Like I'm a communist because I worked minimum wage and I fucking hate cops, not because of which cable news channel I watch

Liberals truly believe their ideology is an objectively perfect system and all of their opponents are simply misinformed. They can't fathom distinct political, economic, social interests and can only conceive of their opponents as either uneducated or lying.

Cowbee fuckin rules and is the most patient person I've ever encountered online. I lose my mind within nanoseconds of interacting with liberals/reactionaries but Cowbee is out here responding with entire pamphlets. Just an absolute posting master with a mental resilience far beyond mine. I always get dismissive of brainless libs/chuds and tell them to jump in a hole or something.

I mean I also appreciate simply saying "suck my turds you ignorant liberal" since there's also an art to that. Cowbee is just their absolute nightmare and yet he's just this well read polite communist lmao

Janeway is a perpetrator of imperialist genocide and furthermore needlessly executed a beloved crewmember (Tuvix). I won't abide her inclusion next to the esteemed Sisko and Picard, who are both champions of diplomacy and space stuff.

I'd want a supplemental study on the reading level of ESL folk in their first language. Furthermore the gauge of literacy isn't simply knowing how to pronounce words or the alphabet or whatever, it's a measure of broader skills like the ability to retain and parse information. Reading a graph is also part of general literacy. Someone who could read every word of the first page of a book out loud, but then they're unable to summarize it, or unable to answer questions or make a response would be someone functionally illiterate.

Someone who's ESL and has a hard time parsing English, but still able to retain information they read in English, is far more literate than a native English speaking American who reads like a 10 year old child.

The average American barely has any idea there's a war even happening or who the president is. Half the people I know think Biden is still president. Even people who do know there's a war wouldn't be able to find Iran on a map. Everything about our government and everything it does might as well be a TV show to my fellow Americans. They see it as fiction that doesn't impact our lives and most people think it's extremely boring so they tune it out.

People are crashing out but for different but associated reasons. Everyone's broke, no one can afford healthcare, there's a mass shooting every 3 days. Everyone's tired and the alienation is so thick that people are all pointing in different directions to where they think the problem is. People are getting more conspiracy brained and twitchy.

Hi everyone

I'm a gun owner, I have pistols and a shotgun. I've shot rifles and really like the feel of 7.62mm, so I'm leaning towards getting a cheap SKS I could work on. My main purpose would be general range shooting and possible self-defense if stuff gets a lot worse.

I know the actual smart option would be getting a standard AR-15 because they're so available, ammo is everywhere, and every gunsmith in America knows how to maintain them. But would it be worth it to save up for something like an AK if I'd prefer 7.62?

Do different blood types taste different? Since you're a bloodsucker you might know

So I'm on my vacay, visiting several places in Asia. It's chill to get away from work and actually leave my apartment as if I'm not a shut-in. I'm eating at a curry place and there are two fellow Americans behind me, two young guys. They're talking about the recent ICE murders. They're presenting like...I don't know the word for this kind of modern men's fashion. It's when they've got skinny khakis, the pencil mustaches, slip on loafers without socks, and round glasses. Is there any even a word for this or are they just grad students

In any case it becomes clear that one of them is the liberal, the other is the conservative. The chud will say things like ICE needs more training and we can't assume anything until a court case is settled, the liberal agrees and says ICE should receive more money for training. Liberal says things like agents should be trained to shoot in the legs, chud says some people can get shot in the leg and still resist arrest so it's better to neutralize the target. Lib goes on to talk about the DHS Twitter account, "media diet," and how government accounts are using Ai to edit photos. Chud retorts with how liberals have already done that a million times, references edited photos of Kyle Rittenhouse. They go on to talk about various streamers I've never heard of.

I just hate this. They talk about ice and government use of force like it's a natural force like gravity and the important thing is to make sure you have the correct media information to formulate an opinion. Yeah I have a brain and can make a opinion based on my daily life and my experiences, I don't need to hand wring about potential biases in whatever internet personalities I listen to (I don't listen to any except maybe Vijay Prasad).

I actually did confront them at this point, said ICE simply shouldn't exist, that ICE is performing their intended function, and blah blah. I talked to them maybe 30 seconds, got a response of "huh, hadn't considered that" from the chud and then I left. I am becoming an old person shaking their cane at the youth? But like I never expected to be further to the left than people 15 years younger than me

Thank you for your attention to this matter as I resume my vacation hopefully free of further interactions like this

I'm very very proud of you if you washed your ass and asshole today with soap and water. Congrats! Keep up the great work catgirl-salute

If you didn't quite do it right today, don't worry! Just keep trying and you'll eventually get there but in the meantime you'll smell like stinky doodoo feces catgirl-sorry

I know there's probably no understanding it, but it's keeping me up at night. When prompted with "what are your pronouns?" chuds will often reply with that they have no pronouns. But then if asked if they can be referred to as he/him, they're fine with it. Plus being fine with using me/you/I etc. I've even heard them say they don't consider he/him/she/her to be pronouns.

I mean I kinda know what it is but I'm not gonna ask a chud to confirm. I think it's these things:

  • Confusion between very typical pronouns such as she/her with neopronouns like xi/xir.

  • They've literally never been asked for their pronouns before so their minds can't process the question. They only know that pronouns are those things that trans people use, so they have an immediate kneejerk reaction to reject the concept entirely without consideration.

  • Confusion between the concept of pronouns and gender identity

  • Misunderstanding of the concept of a pronoun mean something more like "identified pronoun"

I seriously hate these people so much by the way. Obstinant, stubborn transphobia is a fucking plague and I'm very pessimistic about the idea you can simply argue them out of their mindsets. They're completely stuck because they want to be stuck, and they don't even want to know what they're mad about. May Allah have mercy on their eternal souls because I have very little sympathy for them

So two of my handguns have rails and mounting spaces for any number of goofy tacticool stuff. But none of it has appealed to me at all. I shoot just fine without an optic. Lasers seem like a gimmick that don't work either because the dot isn't visible enough or because the dot never stays zeroed. And a flashlight doesn't seem necessary when I can just also hold a flashlight. Is there anything I'm not considering that might be more useful?

An underbarrel shotgun would be awesome but I doubt they're made small enough for a pistol lol

If it helps at all answer, my guns are largely for shooting at ranges, and also for the hopefully never self-defense situation.

Looks like that mysterious meeting where Hegseth called in a bunch of generals was to tell them to stop being so woke.

Also Hegseth apparently wants to relax restrictions on hazing and harassment. Hey I've got an idea. The military continues to fail its recruitment quotas, let's raise the physical requirements and foster a more toxic work environment. Hopefully this will result in a more dysfunctional US military and fewer war crimes in the name of imperialism

Death to America

Sudden trailer and announcement for Yakuza Kiwami 3! I guess Sega decided to go back to calling the series Yakuza at least for this title? Maybe "Like a Dragon Kiwami" is too much of a mouthful. Also looks like there's a completely new campaign where you play as Mine, which is awesome

Yakuza 3 is a personal favorite of mine so this could be neat. This trailer and announcement was a surprise. Sega must be making a ton of money on this series.

Hey everyone. I own guns because I look queer and I live in America. I suddenly got kinda interested in the QSZ-92, and by extension Norinco guns in general. Looks like there was an import ban on Norinco guns since 2003 though, so the only Chinese firearms I can find for sale are quite old that must have been imported before the ban. Plus they're chambered in more common 9mm whereas I'm kinda interested in seeing how well the Chinese 5.8mm caliber shoots.

Does anyone know how strict this ban is or how hard it would be to be to get a hold of a Type 92 pistol or Type 95 rifle, or at least shoot one of them? Just curiosity honestly. I doubt I'd actually go through with smuggling guns, especially when I already have them and mine work just fine. Also community rule 3 says no discussion of illegal action, so if that's the only possibility, I'm not interested.

But if some kind of legal aftermarket clones of Chinese guns exist that would also be neat, if anyone knows anything. That might be neat to look into. some background: I'm a real big fan of CZ firearms, I like manual thumb safeties, all metal frames, and I like recoil operation in pistols. But I mean I'm also not picky and a standard polymer striker operated pistol is fine too.

Anyway thanks comrades, you're all a lot more knowledgeable than me. (not actually interested in buying/selling illegal firearms and this is pure curiosity, please don't send me down a rabbit hole of black market importing please, thanks.)

I know there are are Arab Muslims living in the Zionist Entity, and there used to be some anti-settlememt sentiment in the 1970s among the more hippy oriented. But it seems like every single time I see an Israeli speaking online it's the most unhinged racist garbage I've ever seen. Are they seriously this pro-genocide or are they simply good at hiding their detractors?

I'm asking this because I know there have to be people living in the Zionist Entity by circumstance rather than choice. Like young people or migrants who needed work or people who are simply too poor to leave, even if they would like to leave based on their political opposition.

Like I'm thinking of people who ended up in jail because they would refuse service in the IDF. How widespread is that sort of sentiment and why am I not seeing nor hearing anything about it, yet I'm seeing plenty of fanatic rabid fascism from Israelis?

I keep seeing Zionists claiming to be terrified at the Palestinian flag, or trying to say the phrase "free Palestine" is hate speech. Even now, when Gaza has been razed to the ground and hundreds of thousands are dead, the very words Gaza, Palestine, Hamas, intifada, etc are claimed to be intrinsically racist.

Do they actually believe this or are they just playing a silly language game? Like the Sartre quote about antisemites not believing in anything. How deep in the weeds does a Zionist have to be in to believe that the very existence of Palestinian people is comparable to hate groups like the klan? (Real comparison I've heard)

I know it's probably complicated, like some believe this and some are just using it as a tool to terminate critique, but does anyone have any further insight?

Newest coworker is oddly elderly for his position, which is entry level laboratory stuff. Pressing a button on a machine and writing down the results basically. He's nice enough and friendly. Not great at his job but he's only worked for about two months so that's natural, plus again he's on the older side, at least late 60s or early 70s.

Just learned today that he was retired, he's on a pension, and he knew the owner from some business connections or something. Owner invited him to spend time at the company a few days a week. Dude is cosplaying as a worker. He doesn't even have experience in this role, he was an accountant or something for a similar industry, then management for decades, and now he's doing grunt laboratory labor for fun or something? What the fuck is going on

Dude I'm super glad you can have a job out of boredom. Some of us have to work for a paycheck and pay rent. Really glad that your retirement is so unfulfilling you can mingle with people who have student loan debt. Really cool that you can use the workplace as your adult day care so you don't have to spend time with your wife or grandkids.

I don't know how to feel about this and it's instantly made stuff super awkward. I'm upset at his mere existence. Like my workplace is a soul erasing facility where I begrudgingly drag myself so I have healthcare and an apartment. This guy has a pension and Medicare and shows up with his thermos and steel toes like "hello fellow proletariat"

wtf

Edit: ok to be clear, this guy in his own words, plus the testimony of other coworkers. He's told me he's materially comfortable, owns multiple houses, and has far more than enough money stay retired forever. He's showing up at a job just to have something to do. Which wouldn't be so off-putting if it were something more interesting but this is glorified data entry.

Like go volunteer at a shelter, dude.
