Can you elaborate? I have tried checking the official domain and I don't see this. I can't find it in archives that say they monitor his truthsocial account. The only place this seems to exist is truthsocialapp.com which seems suspect as various buttons don't work, etc.

You can never, ever trust the client. Client side anticheat is wasteful security theater.

Get your "anticheat" code off my cpu and implement actual security on your servers.

I think maybe you should think through why you feel that way, though. Surely you could decide to go out and be social because you would like to make new friends or be entertained. You're here, writing out your thoughts, so you're able to reflect and decide on actions.

Been working on a personal project to create community software that's deployable as a single image with no external dependencies (eg: no need to set up a db).

I've made a lot of progress, but am feeling technically lonely.

I would love it if there were anyone else out there with interests in open source, community and maybe some experience with the following tech that's maybe also looking for some comradery:

  • UX/UI
  • HTML/CSS
  • Cross-platform apps
  • Typescript

Fair warning: This project is still in the prototyping phase and isn't recommended for anyone other than a developer who's looking to help out. Additionally, there's currently no ActivityPub support, though federation is an eventual goal - if you know ActivityPub, I'd love to talk.

[Jury Nullification] is when the jury in a criminal trial gives a verdict of not guilty even though they think a defendant has broken the law. The jury's reasons may include the belief that the law itself is unjust

Until the wealthy and powerful are held to account, why punish your fellow everyday citizens? Use your brain. Decide if what they're charging people with is suppression or actually keeping society safe.

When those prosecutors start losing these cases, maybe they will start to rethink who they are focusing on.
