no worries! Clearly it's not time for me to quit my day job to do stand-up comedy, yet. :)

I was actually agreeing with what you wrote. I was referring exactly to the atrocities that Japan committed before and during WW2. Russia, by contrast, did come out of WW2 on the side of the "good guys", having sacrificed probably more lives than any other nation to defeat Nazism.

My attempt at irony was on the fact that the contrast with how these countries (and even Nazism) are viewed today is so striking that it truly seems like we're living in an alternate timeline.

Ah yes it was that timeline where Japan was doing war crimes, while Russia were the good guys. Oh yes... and back then Nazis were generally considered very bad people!

except that those links are increasingly pointing to slop content anyway. Even scientific papers.

Next: why do we even need the planes; we can directly catapult stones on the enemy! Wonder why nobody ever thought about it

Firet sentence in the article

Social network MySpace is reportedly planning to make a comeback

No. Planning to make a comeback is not the same as making a comeback. You are making a comeback when lots of people are actually using your site.

To be fair, there is this tiny group of people who are responsible for a lot of terrible things in my life, but they never seem to get punished. They might temporarily get voted out, but they keep coming back.

Fun read! I think a closed fist with seven fingers would have been a better illustration tough...

If the other person feels the same about it and if you trust them and you are good friends and....

Come to think of it, to make this work in the long run, you need basically the same ingredients as a "regular" marriage.

if you're far enough to the right apparently everyone looks like a Marxist. Even Hitler was a National Socialist (Socialist!)

Sometimes I get the nice version of that. In my dreams I am not trying to get down and I can just sort of silde where I want. It's a pleasant feeling!

Look, it's statistically possible that the flight attendant is just a piece of s##t.

But, having been friends with one, I'm also open to the possibility that they just know they are going to be sealed in a flying can with a lot of nervous people and just want to go through a whole f###ng flight without someone getting triggered or panicking.

I added some data on local shops in OrganicMaps and StreetComplete. My changes are visible in OSM online but my (just downloaded) maps in CoMaps don't show them. I found this issue for OrganicMaps that says maps data is updated only when the whole app is updated and I assume CoMaps works the same.

Are there any structural reasons why this is the case? Or is there a possibility/plans to have maps data refresh more frequently?

Now with this vision of the near future where e-commerce uses only AI-generated content on apps built by AI developers and AI-agents (soon?) buying it independently, money does not need a human in the middle any longer.
