Super Mario Bros (NES) to Mario 64: 11 years.

It was pretty wild growing up while Moore's Law was full steam ahead.

I can think of 3 different PCs I built and overclocked during college. Now, my everyday use computer is 8 years old and it's still pretty dang good.

A 22 is a dangerous weapon that can definitely kill somebody and needs to treated according to The Rules just like any other firearm.

What you said about bouncing around inside skeletal structures has no basis in reality, though. I'm a non-gun-nut American with some firearm experience, but my supposed knowledge doesn't matter in a world where you can watch 100 different youtube channels dedicated to shooting a variety of objects with a variety of calibers.

You might be thinking in the right direction, though, about situations where a bullet does more damage when NOT passing all the way through because it has dumped all its energy into the target along with expanding/fragmenting. Consider what happens when one of those youtubers shoots through water. Usually the smaller handguns like 22 or 9mm get decent penetration while high-powered rifles with multiple times the kinetic energy and momentum fall short of those. But because of the rapid energy dump you get other effects like a high splash.

Yeah I have. It's bonkers, but it is also indicative of our culture. sadly. That's why I made a joke comparing the government's exploitation and mistreatment of military members with the rest of the economy's exploitation and mistreatment of all the other normal people. In both cases, the people in power are choosing "number goes up a little bit faster than before" over "human life and well being" repeatedly.

She's not my type either, but I always thought she was super attractive.

Yeah, how can the richest country in the world with the biggest military budget do this shit to the people they really depend on?

Just look at the private sector in contrast. This country mints more billionaires than anywhere else while treating workers AND customers like shit and-- oh wait.

This reminds me of the similar map of names for soft drinks. You have your soda vs coke, but I live in one of the "pop" regions which is admittedly a larger area than these little "bubbler" enclaves.

I mostly switched over to "soda" once I went to college though. A nationwide and international assortment of group members will encourage that.

"Linux ISOs" would stop being the obvious legal use of p2p!

That's the seasoning.

It's never spicy enough until you sprinkle enough around!

At least it will improve the quality of those interactions, and probably be good for the people themselves.

Many people seem to think that some of the good options our awesome technology provides is the ability to not only avoid doing certain work or avoid learning things, but to avoid using basic senses and interacting with the world we exist in.

Maybe think of it as a collective forced touch grass moment, lol.
