Libs don't even need to get scratched by others. They will scratch themselves, and screech in anger.

Leave it to Americans to have this irrational fear of anything Asian.

Some white Americans assume that living here automatically means I owe them loyalty or support, but that expectation feels hollow. “Assimilation” gets thrown around a lot, but what does it actually mean in practice? Too often, it comes across as pressure to abandon your identity, to conform in ways that feel like betrayal, or to accept a subordinate role just to be accepted.

There’s also a deeper frustration behind it. If U.S. foreign policy hadn’t destabilized my home country, I might not even be here in the first place. So being told I should support a country I associate with that kind of harm feels unreasonable. From my perspective, it shouldn’t be surprising that I still feel connected to China and view it more favorably. And if China continues to develop, returning to my home country could become a real option.

The "American Identity" is a joke. This is a country that bombs and invades others to pilfer resources. America is a terrorist country.

America is its own worst enemy, letting racism start a reverse brain drain. Well deserved.

Americans truly are stupid enough to let racism be their own undoing. Even with good pay, if you're treated poorly (racism), it's natural to move back to China for better societal conditions.

You would think shared experiences of discrimination would naturally build empathy and solidarity, yet reality can be more complicated. Even within spaces that promote acceptance and identity, prejudice can still exist, and that contradiction is painful. Being Asian and encountering dismissive comments, stereotypes, or exclusion from some LGBTQ+ individuals creates a sense of isolation that cuts deeper precisely because those spaces are supposed to feel safe and understanding.

The sadness comes not only from the racism itself, but from the broken expectation of mutual respect. When two groups that have both faced social stigma fail to support each other, it highlights how prejudice can persist even among people who know the harm it causes. It leaves you feeling caught between identities, unsure where acceptance truly exists. What should be a shared refuge instead becomes a reminder that empathy is not automatic, and that genuine inclusivity requires conscious effort from everyone, regardless of their own experiences with discrimination.
