Warmongers.

In a comment I've made a little bit ago, I mentioned that I was tasking myself to discover music that was played on an old radio program that I listened to from the 2000s. And it is looking to be a lot more prolonged and tedious than I had thought. I've been able to find a program that has done an amazing job at removing the host's voices to where, I can't tell where they start or stop talking, I get hints that there were points of voices being there, but it's non-existent.

I've tried before in the past to use Audacity, but being that all recordings were done in Mono and not Stereo, no matter what I tried, the voices would still remain. So now that hurdle is done with, the next task is to go through all 139 episodes and all episodes average 1 hour to 2 hours. That's a long time if you're doing radio or podcasting, it's a lot of talking to do. Then it's a matter of listening back and forth at one points certain songs begin and end, marking times to point them out with.

I might pick out some standout favorites, episodes that contained the most songs that I would have wanted the most from them. Then once all of that is figured, the next course of action is to clean up the sample audio, because most of these episodes were recorded in Mono so there's going to be a lot of distortion and muddiness.

Then once all of that is done, the next challenging task is, actually finding someone who'll be able to identify what is played. I don't know electronic/techno music too well, I'm not entirely familiar with artists outside Daft Punk, Celldweller, 3Teeth and Pendulum to name a few. The only thing that sortof helps narrow things down is that they were all played on DI.FM at the time, so it may or may not help.

From there, it's just hoping I find them out there online.

It's a big project, but I've listened to these episodes for 18 years now and what kept me coming back to them besides nostalgic purposes, was the music played in them that never got identified.

I don't fuck around with that kind of shit anymore. I always pick 'keep inventory items upon death' option. That way, the only thing I just lose out on, is where the hell I was if I wasn't keeping track of coordinates.

Chess is decided on who makes critical mistakes. There is someone at fault, whether it is you or your opponent. The frustrating part, is always the one where you make a move you realize later that you shouldn't have made and your opponent exploiting it.

And pays the tariff reimbursements. And the DOGE checks. And the two other stimulus packages that was supposed to happen sometime ago. Anyday, soon! VERY SOON! STOP BEING IMPATIENT!

All that Trump's actions do and will have done, is say "Hey, future corrupt presidents after me, see? You CAN do anything you want and you WILL get away with it so long as you're the president! Every and all opposition is just noise, just keep being happily corrupt and NOTHING will happen to you!".

It has set that precedent.

Even the Bushes when they were in the oval office, did sometimes look over their shoulders as to whether or not what they did was wrong or right on some things. They somehow still had some resemblance of morals.

Trump has none. He doesn't care of anyone or anything. It's all "my way or go fuck yourself".

When has it?

[–] Soulifix@piefed.world 6 points 2 days ago

Yes, I have a fan always going through the night and I always have something playing like an old podcast as well. I just can't simply sink into sleep with nothing alone, I've tried that, with limited success and there's people around me, whose noises tend to wake me up.

There was no plan period, other than just sit there and basically be handled by the authorities. All it did was make a buzz in the media, who totally screwed around as the media does, by twisting around what the purpose was and manufacturing their own perspectives about it. And was largely forgotten about in weeks.

Any Occupy protests would've spoken a lot louder, if there had been a plan for it and if there had been a loud voice behind it about why those protests were happening. Not just mostly being quiet about it. That's why they failed.

Absolutely not.

Clearly, you didn't read anything else I've said, so you fixated and were choosy on what to respond to, than taking account the entirety of what I said.

No where do I believe or think that I don't care about these workers at all. The thing I'm saying, if you cared to read, is that there are other options that we vote with our wallets by. It does not always have to be about AAA, we leave that battle up to the studios who still bother with it. It's not ours to fight and quite frankly, it is a losing battle anyways because they're still existing and not listening enough to people's criticisms. Only if barely, but barely listening isn't cutting it.

There's nothing passionate about going around berating others for enjoying the games they choose to play. That is you, gatekeeping and dictating another's enjoyment. You just excuse that kind of behavior by calling it being passionate.

Armchair Revolutionists are the worst kind of armchair types to confront online and anywhere.

Try asking them about the aftermath if this theoretical revolution were to be successful. They almost always don't have one, because they do not think that far. They just think that if we go around destroying everything and killing off those involved, the world will be a better place. No we wouldn't, not if we don't have a process or a plan in how to go about it.

But that's too big of a concept for them to think about, so they just stir idealistically in how things should be ran and those who don't agree are just part of the problem. They're honestly sounding like micro-dictator versions of themselves if you listen to them long enough, which is ironic in of itself.

People crying about Nintendo Online pricing. First off, it's for an entire year, not by monthly, so I don't know how that's a negative. That's just an example.

Technology is supposed to be simple, intuitive, basic and convenient.

But my experience today, has been infuriating, stress-inducing and unnecessarily excessive. I had to go to my local bank branch today to sign a PAL loan. I wouldn't have had to go in-person, if it wasn't for the overly annoying way my bank has to verify you. The digital signing document they sent me? Required a fucking verification. Like, to even ask for a PAL loan, you need to put down your information. So, why in the FLYING FUCK, do you NEED to verify me when I just gave you everything needed to know me by?!

Then, they wanted me to add my numbers to the settings for preferred contact. I kid you not, I had to have 3 codes sent to my phone number PER section. Home? 3 Codes. Mobile? 3 codes. That's SIX codes I had to have gone through, JUST TO FUCKING REGISTER A PHONE NUMBER!!! And STILL, the fucking digital verification system they have, DOESN'T SEND ME IT! So I had to drive the fuck down to my bank, because I didn't want to fucking go out today and deal with dumbfucks (I already dealt with dumbfucks at work, don't need more).

Had to spend, oh, 50 minutes there, WAITING FOR SHIT THAT COULD'VE BEEN DONE IN 1 MINUTE!!

Then I get the fuck home, realized "shit, I need to talk to StateFarm about my beacon" because it hasn't fucking worked for some reason. Forgot my login, but wait, shit! The fucking browsers I use - SOMEHOW FUCKING FORGOT MY LOGIN INFORMATION BECAUSE REASONS!!!

Had to fucking talk to a god damn live chat representative, go through THAT fucking obstacle course. THAT WASN'T ENOUGH! I HAVE TO FUCKING VERIFY TO LOG IN WITH MY TEMPORARY PASSWORD AFTER UPDATING IT?! YOU FUCKING CUNTS!! I FUCKING HATE YOU!!

And Chrome seems to have it where, it doesn't sync with mobile and desktop as I feel it should. The fucking Chrome browser on phone, REQUIRES you to fucking add a fucking security measure so you have to enter a fucking pin EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO FUCKING SO MUCH EDIT OR ACCESS SAVED PASSWORDS!

FUCK THIS BULLSHIT! FUCK ALL OF IT!!

Normally when this is asked, people think about reviving, curing, resurrecting. This question is about who you save if you were transported to a time a little before their death, like maybe a day before or even a week before. Anything about terminal illnesses or diseases contracted don't really count here because, when those things happen, they happen and there's really nothing you could do to have prevented it.

I think I would've wanted to prevent JFK's assassination. I'd tell him "dude, do not get in that limo and drive down Elm Street" and I'd show him a newspaper clip of the day of his assassination. I'd probably be looked at a little crazily and suspected of maybe being involved in something that pertains to that day. But, it's an effort I would've gone through to do that.
