Would this truly be the suggested set up though? An inflatable pool in your dining room? I used to have hydrotherapy until I found it too difficult to actually get there. They recommended warm baths, not that I DIY one in my house!

For anyone unsure when to use I or me, remove the “and X” and see if the sentence makes sense:

My twin and I in the 80s > I in the 80s ❎

Me and my twin in the 80s > me in the 80s ✅

The photo is literally a screenshot of that tweet, just not in dark mode. Why on earth would it be from a word document?! Or was that addition purely so you could make your comment 42 words long? Like this one is.

For anyone interested here’s a very abbreviated rough list of the first ever dictionaries, summarised from Wikipedia:

  • First Sumerian-Akkadian word list is dated around 2300 BCE.
  • The first surviving monolingual dictionary is Chinese and from 3rd century BCE.
  • First Arabic dictionary was from 8th century.
  • The oldest surviving Japanese dictionary is from 835.
  • The word dictionary was invented by an Englishmen in 1220. There are English-Latin, English- French and English-Spanish bilingual dictionaries from this time.
  • First Latin dictionary was published in 1440.
  • The first alphabetical English dictionary was published in 1604.
  • A Spanish, Italian and French dictionary were published ~1611.
  • The first American dictionary was completed in 1825.

I would have thought there would be dictionary of hieroglyphics before any of them, but if there was it hasn’t survived.

I’ve never understood LatinX. Is it supposed to be a gender neural Latino/Latina? I’m only a Spanish beginner but I’m fairly sure Latino can be masculine and gender neutral.

And here’s someone much cleverer than me explaining just a few of the uses of nanotechnology and why it’s not BS.

Here’s a little more context. Elon doubling down and linking Uncylcopedia, a crowd-edited satirical website, to support his stupid stance.

That’s what I was thinking, there’s absolutely no coming back from that.

I don’t know who first came up with the joke, but I really enjoy “what machine did conservatives think they were raging against, the printer?”
