Probably the best videogame in history.

Always use native pkgs if possibile (so use pacman/paru)

I heard that it can be very dangerous to touch inside, use precautions!

You can have good pixelart on flat screens using shaders but yeah, CRTs are great.

Yeah, that's very interesting and also a personal preference but to me good scanlines are always appreciated. I picked this 14" and it looks great but I'm curious to try a slightly bigger model to compare the scanlines experience, I'm thinking about a 20" mostly for 480i gen.

Geometry adjusted, emulators optimized for 240p. This consumer 14" CRT doesn't show great scanlines but if you play very near is good.

This Blueretro adapter works very good on GameCube slots for bluetooth controllers like my 8Bitdo Pro2.

I learned PSX emulation isn't very good on Wii so not the definitive 240p retroconsole but it covers a lot for very cheap.

Do you have another one to compare? There are a tons of fake-dualshock3 on the market, or maybe it's just normal usure on that one.

Runit is softly better but Systemd is perfectly fine. I would prioritize runit on very old hardware.

X360 games tend to be better because PS3's architecture was a nightmare for developers but as pure hardware PS3 is superior, you can see it on quality PS3 exclusives or in the latest games in that gen, when the Cell processor was well known.

As a gamer it make much sense to collect every good game on blurays but many PS3 titles are just bad X360 ports (Bayonetta, BioShock, etc).

PS3 slim/superslim is good to keep also unmodded, it's very solid and cheap, BDs are nice to collect and they would need a lot of GBs (I'm always pro piracy btw).

Just keep in mind in that gen many games are better on X360, I collect PS3 games if exclusive or if the port is very comparable.

A X360 is a great console to softmod, equally cheap and it cover all the games with superior version without the need to buy DVDs (a bad format to collect in my opinion).

Darksiders? (Edit) Nah I'm not sure

15€ used CRT playing Sonic thru modded Wii

So, I'm searching the best console to run 240p games thru RetroArch on a CRT (14" feels the best size for this): I've read the most mature homebrew console for this are Wii and PS2. PS2 is less powerfull but it has native 240p output and can run PSX native. Wii doesn't have native 240p but ppl claim 480i/480p is sharp enough and the difference is minimal, also it's more powerfull and can run more platforms. I would exclude more expansive options like FPGA or an ad-hoc raspberry.

[Edit] Title fixed since retroarch isn't needed in this scenario

As a wanna be creator: do you think PT is ready to bring visibility to new creators? It's stable?

What happen if an instance blocks a channel? Can I transfer my videos maintaining views? Thanks!

Asking because of the latest issues with the maintainer.

Hello, as an audiophile I'm searching for a player with local statistics, I'd like to maintain my datas (listens, favs, etc) locally in my drive and, if possible, sync these infos thru something like Syncthing to another PC. Would be nicer a player that shows these stats in a cool way, similar to streaming services like Spotify.

I'm using Dark Reader extension but still I'm whiteflashed when loading pages.

One thing I see as underestimated is that having a major standard device is huge for indie development and could greatly benefit the most flourishing artistic landscape.

One of the problems today is that the indie and AAA markets are increasingly distant, publishing a game on the PS5 or XSX digital store is prohibitive for a small indie team, but if Steam Machine is successful, we can expect more easy access to indie games by (ex)console gamers, and later a reduction in publishing costs on consoles.

I believe Steam Deck has already started this process, but with a device that will compete with the 9th generation of home consoles the indie game diffusion could accelerate.

Personally nothing but when I look at it I wonder if the big bang could actually have been a white hole.

Do you also find yourselves defending communist positions because they are misunderstood by most people? Do you also find yourselves specifying the type of anarchism you refer to because most people have a conception of anarchy as simply chaotic rebellion?

Personally, I find it more effective to define myself as an anarcho-communist in order to emphasize the concept of anarchy as a structure and to highlight the concept of communism as a proletarian organizational tool.

So, yes, there are sneakers made by gum and canvas (like Converse) but these are not the best pick for everything.

I'm skeptical on leather alternatives for shoes, "fake leather" has generally low durability and I'm not strictly interested in cloning the aesthetic; when it comes to boots/shoes there are very poor alternative to a refurbished leather pair: great durability and flexibility, traditional models can be resoled, great looking over time when well maintained, the ecologic aspect, etc. Also the price: new tech-fibers are generally very expensive with dubitabile quality, while leather can be very cheap considering what you pay for.

What do you think about it? What's your daily use? I could edit this OP to share products you found interesting.
