This makes sense. I can't see Trump being willing to back down, but I can see corporate pressure doing it.

It's correlated with votes. Those that donate to a candidate are almost guaranteed to vote for them. Especially since it's less money on average from more people.

If these are people who signed up to the party due to this campaign, it also shows he can build a movement.

I haven't gotten around to trying it yet so I don't know the features. Though I think it also does (local) image recognition to help identify things.

He didn't commit enough war crimes (lacks leadership mindset)

Oh it's just going to be a little thing with a couple friends. Gleba certainly has a propensity for falling apart...

Can you elaborate on your critique of Mars Horizon? Someone else recommended it so I have been looking in to it.

I once read a theoretical discussion of strategic voting in ranked ballot voting. I don't remember the specifics, but my take away was the situations involved were way too specific to be practically relevant. Just vote your heart and let the system do its job.

Probably the closest suggestion so far! Thanks

That's something else entirely IMO. ... But I am planning to do a coop Space Exploration run soon!

Hmm. Different scale for sure, but Distant Worlds 2 is in my backlog so I should probably try it again before Aurora. Thanks for the suggestion!

Mars Horizon looks fun, thanks! Definitely more of a straight up KSP successor than a strategy game, but it might scratch the itch enough to save me a few hundred hours from trying Aurora.

I have been keeping an eye on Terra Invicta for interest in the space development side of the game mostly. But now that it's released I've decided, reluctantly, that it is not for me as it's basically two different games stapled together, with some deeply questionable design choices.

Thinking about it gave me that spreadsheet game itch and it occurred to me that something that puts a grand strategy spin on kerbal space program would be really cool! Focus on mission planning, management, and R&D for early space flight through near future space industrial development/mining/permanent bases.

Has anyone heard of anything like that? Or should I just cave and give Aurora 4x another go?

Is there any way to see which instances a given instances is defederated from? Ideal would be something like a sortable list of instances with a federated yes/no.

I'm curious about what Lemmy is like in other instances and that seems like a good way to get an overview. Plus it would be helpful to know that corners of the fediverse I'm missing

Primaries level up from use, unlocking customization options in different slots. Slot availability varies by gun. It looks like all weapons have skins (great for the fashion game). The slots I've found so far include:

sights (different sights to taste, or trade off zoom <> ergonomics)

muzzle (recoil patterns mostly)

grip (recoil <> ergonomics/laser/flashlight)

magazine (capacity <> ergonomics/reload speed)

Looks fun! I kinda wish we could slot a bayonet but I can see why they would keep that exclusive
