What it lacks is the math stuff from tables unfortunately.
It also lacks reminders, alerts, and notifications. I really wanted to like it when I tried it out, but this was a huge deal breaker for me.

That looks like the Platinum9 theme for XFCE. Setup for it are basically the normal steps to getting Window Decorations installed for XFCE (here), but in general it's just:
$ git clone https://github.com/grassmunk/Platinum9 ~/.themes/Platinum9
Then set the Window Decoration theme using xfce4 settings

It's a normal thing in other kinds of software like video editing and audio software as well. Sometimes entire companies spring up to create custom plugins for things like After Effects or one of the many DAW softwares. Then they sell them and sometimes even license them out. Maybe it just hasn't caught on in gaming yet?

tbh these days I'm only grabbing stuff I couldn't really get any other way (ie. no service offers said media here). if a creator gets upset because I consumed their media without the capitalist part, well they shouldn't worry; it'll trickle down
