CoMaps is good alternative for Google Maps overall (simple to use, emphasis on POI, routing). They are actively working on including reviews from mangrove.reviews, and may release the feature very soon (source from last week).
Mangrove.reviews contains only a few reviews for now, but having recently been integrated in MapComplete, the number don't stop increasing.

J'ai testé avec mon neveu de 5 ans, il avait accroché mais il ne lisait pas encore donc compliqué d'évoluer dans l'aventure. Avec un enfant de 7 ans ca marcherait très bien : dialogues simples, puzzles à base de coloriage, de quoi explorer assez librement, des objets a trouver à droite à gauche. Et ne pas se laisser avoir, les puzzles peuvent être compliqués. Petit coup de coeur.

About my preference toward the extension : I tend to limit the perimeter of the tools I use to the environment in which they are applicable. My browser is the only space where I have to fill passwords on my phone, so I prefer having a service within my browser with a limited scope.
I've also noticed some issues with the extension but they don't bother me in my daily use, and wouldn't justify an entire removal with no com' imo.

Being able to navigate only through the content of my favorites websites, oh my, excellent news. I'm truly eager to try it.
I have a newbie question tho : I would like to use Hister while still supporting the people who create website content. Say I'm online and don't wish to use the local preview, can I access to the website instead of loading my local content ? If I access the website via Hister instead of Searx for instance, would my request be added to their traffic numbers, or not ? (those lowering their referencing and their visibility).
(Not like my individual usage would change anything anyway but still asking to get a graspe of what it implies).
