Wonderful! I got my little flag from attending Canada Day event in my little town last year. Put it up on my front window on Flag Day and it will stay there until I need to replace it. I have been eyeing the flags (supposedly made in Canada) being sold in Canadian Tires. Most likely will purchase that when I need to replace my little flag.

At first, I was quite angry at dumb anti-vax convoy for flying the Canadian flag and resisted putting up the flag. But then I thought, "I am proud to be Canadian damnit! Why should I let some idiots, anti-science Maple maga hijacked my feeling towards my country's flag?" So I decided to put it up on National Flag Day of Canada (Feb 15).

This pic was taken last week. My first attempt at veggie growing. The patch is slightly raised, open to ground. All the plants you see were started indoor from seeds (except for carrots, peas and beans).

They are: Carrots (didn't thin, my bad). I don't know if I would get anything out of them. I planted them in beginning of may. I'm planning to replant in late August. Front section: Cucumber & zucchini on the right. Bell peppers on the left. Peas and beans in middle row. Back section: Kale and tomatoes. More zucchini towards the back. One row of lettuce behind tomatoes.

The only thing that didn't work for me is spinach. They germinated and then stalled and died after they grew 2 - 4 true leaves.

Oh yes, if you're wondering: I bought my seeds from Oh Canada seeds (https://ohcanadaseeds.ca/). I bought their 10 container veggies pack because I'm beginner.

Yup, Ford has been cutting funding to public health, just like Smith in Alberta. Remember: public health is provincial. This is why I did not vote for Ford in the last 3 provincial elections.

I agree with you. Conservatives purposely being vague all the time so they can deny their words later. They are purposely being vague so their base can then "fill in the blanks" with whatever spin they wish.

Taco/fElon are Russia's friends/assets. They and their gop/maga supporters need to be kicked out of the usa government. Hopefully then, usa will return to Ukraine's side.

An e-petition will require 5 citizens/residents and an MP to be created. Once it is approved the petition can start collecting signatures. A minimum of 500 signatures is required to have the petition presented to the House of Commons.

The process is depicted here: https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/Documents/poster-e.pdf

Perhaps organization such as Fair Vote Canada can draft the petition and find an MP who will be willing to sponsor it (most likely a Liberal, Green or NDP MP). I will be willing to put my name forward if Fair Vote Canada can't find 5 citizens to start the petition (but I am sure they can).

Just a thought.

Should I write a strongly worded letter to my grocery store, reminding them of our "unfair trade deficit" and demand "art of a deal"?

Few days ago. Went birding in a wetland conservation area. Tons of birds. Megatons of bugs.

I agree with you. In its current state, LLM is not sentient, and thus not "Intelligence".

Keywords: Electoral candidates and nomination. Foreign influence. Security check.

TLDR: I have always believed that our prime minister candidates should complete their security clearance to ensure they are not under foreign influences. This petition sponsored by Robert Morrissey will be a good start. I implore all Canadians to show their support to protect our democracy from foreign influences. Thank you.

Alberta and Saskatchewan are the sunniest provinces in Canada. If they embrace solar energy, they could be the Solar Capital of Canada.

But, think of those poor, poor big oil CEOs! /s

And France (Saint Pierre) I think? Thanks CBC Gem!

Thinking of what else someone like me (an older person) could do in order to prepare myself to support Ontario in emergencies. I came across Ontario Corps. Posting it here just in case it is something that interests you.
