Claude did not "go rogue". It does not have the free will to do that any more than a brick can "go rogue" when you throw it through your own window. They knowingly used a bad, dangerous tool that destroyed their work. The tool can't accept the blame for their poor decisions.

The security people at the event did do their jobs. Someone attempted to commit a violent act, was immediately identified as a threat, and was arrested with no deaths and one minor injury. The attacker didn't get anywhere close to his intended targets because security stopped him so quickly. If anything, this shows how completely unnecessary his stupid armored ballroom would be because the event security was 100% capable of stopping an attacker.

It's not what they want to know about, it's what they find easy to talk about. They're topics that everyone has some connection with, and with which you're unlikely to cause a significant disagreement by bringing it up. You start with the easy stuff, and then use whatever comes up as a bridge to more meaningful conversation.

There are two photos that have been going around. One is a tray that has just a lump of minced meat and a couple tortillas, the other has a gray slab, minced meat, and boiled carrots.

“Don't wait for the muse. As I've said, he's a hardheaded guy who's not susceptible to a lot of creative fluttering. This isn't the Ouija board or the spirit-world we're talking about here, but just another job like laying pipe or driving long-haul trucks. Your job is to make sure the muse knows where you're going to be every day from nine 'til noon. or seven 'til three. If he does know, I assure you that sooner or later he'll start showing up.” ― Stephen King, On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft

Theologically speaking, it's the opposite: nobody deserves mercy, but God gives it to them anyways. But you'd have to open a Bible to know that, which none of these ghouls have.

"Pedo slur"? What slur? "Pedophile protector" isn't a slur, it's just plain English.
