The first videogame I got to try was Praetorians and remember I struggled so much with it because i didn't want to let any one of my soldiers die, it made me feel really bad. Someone told me it may be a sign I am Autistic, but I really wish the world leaders had this kind of trait.

You make a good point that real life is definitely not comparable because our lives are not infinite and to treat life like a game is sort of like pretending to be a God. Dangerous.

There is another angle to look at it I suppose, like, we're self aware and should be able to understand the gravity of the situation, which i think would enable the possibility of trying out things in a simulated social environment, before implementing it in the real world. I guess it's like a double edge sword

People really do be asking: "But if I had no way to force others to do what I want, who would do the stuff then?" "Please don't take away my slaves. I will treat them well enough PLS PLS PLS PLS don't do the communism I want an involuntary slave :("

And this is why we can't have nice things.

Just so people understand I added involuntary to make sure i don't scare away all the cucks, don't worry there will still be a cuck chair you can consent to in communism. You can watch others do all the work if that's what you enjoy.

Sure beats using their precious life arguing on the internet with each other, it's about time we teach them who the real enemy is and how they can speak out against them.

Alone we are a fart in the wind, together we make the whole room stink.

We're not trapped in here with them, they're trapped in here with us.

You could probably use a lot of design principles from games and apply them in real life, to make it more enjoyable to live.

Now I'm debating if I should add that I obliviously mean learn, not copy, but the more I clarify my posts the more boring they get, if I would clarify them less there's a better chance I get you, the reader, mad when you assume bad faith and then start typing away how I'm wrong because such and such.

Life gets really boring and predictable the more you learn about it, but I can't start a new save file so the only thing I can do is build my own game or go work for someone else creating one. Also please don't purge me if this is too much intellectualism.

All I have to say in regards to racism is that it should be abolished and racial discrimination is universally despicable and never has valid justifications.

As for what is to be done in order to abolish racism is more worthwhile question worth discussing. The people with the most knowledge in how to abolish racism are those who experience racial discrimination, so we should seek to learn from them and their direct experience.

China gets so much glazing and okay I don't have an issue with that, but damn on the other hand People's Korea is treated like some run down shithole barely hanging onto life.

Yet their capital seems more advanced than ours, their countryside is probably less run down than our own. I get that we're supposed to unify members of different classes and I have no interest of taking away your treats, but can we at least treat people's lives with a basic set of dignity. Given the context and how much fucking sanctions are placed on Democratic Korea they deserve more respect than what I'm seeing. We here (Baltics) literally get funded by the richest people on earth and still fuck up The only reason my country hasn't collapsed is thanks to everything socialists had done and left us with.

Can we like stop treating countries as monoliths in general? That's anti-intellectual and bad for the cause. South Korea, Japan, Estonia etc. they're not full of fascists, sure the governments are, but fascists are always a small minority, the people supporting them are reactionary meat bags.

Additional rant, skippable.Like I'm gonna confess to you. I'm scared, don't want to get hurt and I hardly have any bonds to anyone. A lot of theory that's taught assumes that you already have a group you're willing to fight for, increasing amount of people have become alienated and have nobody. I don't want to ask for help because I think other people deserve it more. I'm forced to lie about being fine I've been hiding my desires for 20+ years and putting other people above myself. I can't afford to transition, can't afford to travel to events, can't afford my medication. I have been treating myself alone just using books and manuals and I've studied humanity and human behavior so extensively I wish I could forget. I already know that if I do what I can do then nothing will change and if I risk changing things, then someone will think I'm a monster. My family's pet had gotten sick and at the same time as I got a request for help from a human, how do you stay sane when making decisions like that? One of the main reasons why I'm a socialist is because I want to make sure nobody ever has to make a choice like that ever again. And yet I've done horrible things in the past, sometimes knowingly and without care and idk what changed me, but something did. If you want to agitate against them depict them as a laughing stock, not evil, make them feel bad for putting on that uniform. Once you have the power to do so you could even reclaim what they stole. You can't just ban Nazi imagery and expect to change shit, for gods sake look at Germany right now. If proper denazification was actually carried out you could paint a swastika on your home and people would think it means good fortune. This is not possible immediately, but as long as that super simple, historically globally used, pair of sticks, makes people scared then we haven't yet done a proper de-Nazification. I know I'm way ahead of schedule I just want to put my thoughts out there somewhere and I'm like high-key tired of constantly conceding every inch to the enemy when they just keep appropriating everything.

I think most scary of all is the more I hang around online, anywhere really, the more I see myself reverting back to my own old habits, which only fuels resentment or makes me flee, only to return again because idk where else to go. And I know what the solution is I could start working on my own thing and doing more of what I want to see others do. Unfortunately I am not sharing it and instead I'm writing yet another rant about other people, because I don't want to come across as egotistical, self-interested, selfish, self-obsessed. It doesn't even matter what I do someone is going to assume it's all for profit anyways.

And idk how to address that. I see this thinking constantly applied to Kim's family, for instance, every time people see a "flaw" like Kim Jong-Un being a bit weighty they think he's eating all the grain in the country. Have you considered that maybe he's just got other priorities??? Or this guy who I was watching go to DPRK and he's like "Omg it's so sad how children are taught their leader invented better chairs, that's all they can do?" they're kids JFC what do you want them to be taught how to build an ICBM from the crib? Of course the children would be taught childish and simple things. I'm sure it's like unintentional usually, but for crying out loud can we stop treating people like caricatures?

Okay don't laugh at me because I personally think I should be permanently barred from a decision maker position and I hope someone eliminates me immediately should I ever be in a position of power through some sort of mistake, but at the same time my curiosity is making me wonder who is this aimed at? Because I certainly will not learn about how to run a state, why would I need to know that when I know I won't be doing it?

This is perhaps the most paradoxical aspect of socialism I've personally encountered ever since I've been reading about it. Why do I need to know all this stuff, if at the of the day I'm just supposed to do as I'm told? At the very least I'm certain that not a single person has ever seriously considered anything I've said and I don't blame them because not everyone is fit to be an advisor and yet no organization wants me when I offer them to do the most rudimentary tasks like mopping the floor? There's plenty of advantages of having me as I require no compensation for my labor, but that's not good enough either it seems.

In a way this is very good tho' because it means there must be plenty of eager recruits. So things should be going well enough.

I don't think it matters much what words they use, what I am interested in is where they're trying to head. Most people are going to be centrists at best anyways. I would much prefer if something like "Socialism' was used as a broad unifier instead of "The Left" but I have no power to change that.

[–] Oskolki@hexbear.net 0 points 5 months ago (1 children)

You need to look at what they're doing to know, there's no easy answer. The way to tell is if they have more than just ideas, do they have a real plan, do they stick with it? You need experience to figure it out.

Technically we could bait anyone into funding us, the problem is, it means we can't use the big words we want to use and you won't be able to broadcast your ideology that's for sure, you'd need to recognize what they are practically doing.

The real psyop is how prominent "Judge the book by it's cover" has become, you're supposed to be judging them by your direct experience. There are no good questions they can just lie.

[–] Oskolki@hexbear.net 0 points 5 months ago

That's the situation in every area. People usually don't form inter-class relationships and those who are satisfied with their life will be centrist at best.

Those who aren't satisfied with their life will look for material relief. Conservatives offer material relief to anyone because they don't give a shit, they operate on vibes, just like centrists, but they usually lack something to be with the centrists.

And I get it, poor people can be difficult to interact with, we've got poor manners, it's pitiful to look at us and some of us stink badly, our homes are run down, lots of people with deformities and such, it's probably barf inducing to witness. I've thought about it and the main mistake of Rosa and Karl was they should have retreated, let the right wing initiate the fight with center. It is hopeless for me to try to befriend you.

This might be the worst thing I've made, so far.

I have been discussing my beliefs with a set of close knit friends I've acquired over the years, practically they participated in community building and aren't against my beliefs. With the elephant in the room being that they think it's simply not feasible, due to our various life experiences.

Their main argument that I can't get through is the fact that, at the end of the day, we all will justify one life over another. Which inevitably causes hierarchical divide. They believe that all of us come up with our own way to cope with this reality of the world, with our own individual set of beliefs and reasoning.

And it's difficult for me to argue against them. I can't deny the fact that in order for many people to survive they're forced to fawn, they're forced to give up their individuality and study your behavior, study what kind of things you react to well and what you react to poorly. I have to intentionally hide my needs, my flaws, develop a connection with you and then I have to trickly in the things I actually care about, which now because I've built a connection with you, will make you empathize with me and might encourage you to keep me alive.

Am I wrong to prioritize my own survival? And how do you define survival: is it just the fulfillment of biological function and living under no threat of violence?

I have an incredibly difficult time figuring out how would socialism immerge in a world full of hypocrisy. Everyone wants me to contribute to their cause, they have their own set of priorities, their own families and friends, are they more important than my friends, my family? That's who I've been fighting for.

If the only people willing to help me are your enemy and you're unwilling to do anything, should my family suffer for your sake? I see Anarchists and Left Wing Nationalists constantly being shit on, yet they're the only people who helped me despite our disagreements. Socialists who I interact with treat me like an automaton who is to obey their order.

How can I convince the most vulnerable people to have faith in a project that doesn't even acknowledge their worth or existence? They have lost all faith in socialism not because they haven't read the books. Marx was mandatory in school for my parents generation still, they made thousands upon thousands of people read this great theory of yours so why did it fail?

But that's not what this is about. I am just genuinely lost for how to convince people, they won't budge because they can immediately see though the hypocrisy and call it out. I can't do anything but to agree with them. What am I supposed to tell them? I have already overcome so much of my personal desires for the sake of the people and there's just more problems and more problems every year. The more I sacrifice the more of a fool I look like. Everyone is literally begging me to stop helping people at this point and call me weird for not treating myself. And I have been wanting to stop so badly I wish I had the time to read the fun books or do something exciting.

And that's why I struggle to convince anyone. They know that you will walk right past me and consider me a fool for not doing the same to you. Seriously how is this possible when the only choices I have is either devour myself for the sake of people who watch it happen and don't do anything or watch on how other people perish in front of my own eyes and I choose to value the people I care about over them.

I really want to believe socialism is possible, but I don't see the experience to back it up. Somebody please change my mind.

I'm dealing with a complicates set of circumstances so I'm going to keep this as specific as I can. After prolonged failures to acquire some sort of stability I've decided to us what capabilities I have to create something. I fully expect complete failure, you don't need to discourage me further, it won't accomplish anything.

I'm writing a non-traditional media piece combining a book with the format of a comic. I'm sure it's been done before already, but I want to know if anyone can help me with a publishing guide. My health has been deteriorating lately and I'd like anything I make to be directed towards my family, in case something happens, hopefully it doesn't come to that and I can actually finish the work.

My family doesn't understand what I'm doing and they're not very savvy in this stuff (to tell you the truth they still think I'm the same person I was 20 years ago just playing videogames, just for context of why I haven't simply asked them.) and please don't be mad at them they've been traumatized enough or busy doing 12 hour workdays. I'm sorry I have to rely on a stranger for something seemingly so simple, but that's all I ask for.

I just want to have a setup for in case I'm gone my half-assed work can at least give them a little bit of a solace. Which for the record I really would love to be able to finish it and I hope I can, just been feeling awful.

(Also I have already reached out to local orgs. They seem to have no interes in as much as scheduling a meeting with me, it's been about a year since I've attempted to contact the last one and they've stopped replying to me after I offered to volunteer and asked if there's anything I can do to help.)

A a side request, if anyone knows if it's feasible at all for someone like me to get trained in Explosive ordnance disposal and where do I sign up that would be appreciated. Although I'm guessing I probably don't qualify.

You should gather a bunch of people ask ask them, questions, hold discussions, demand action.

Study if there's any difference in the behavior between the machines and humans. My hypothesis is that a human is capable of insubordination, while a machine cannot do that, unless programmed to.

So if you want to make actual "intelligence" make a machine that can disobey your orders. Unfortunately it seem like most people would rather turn themselves into a machine. Something that can input, output, copy and paste, but never synthesize...

Your task is simple. Survive, no matter what. At the same time it is very difficult, you must not become like one of them. That is the only way to make their hearts bleed.

Stay human, no matter what.

Btw if anyone knows of an org that collects money only for the sake of helping people of Cuba, not using a single cent of the donations for their own expenses, please let me know.

And please do critique me and throw any insult at me, if you think I'm not doing enough. I demand to be driven to the point I am unable to not act.

This is a dead ditch rank with despair’s backwater. A brisk wind can’t raise a ripple from its skin. Why not junk some more scrap tin and copper here, or dump your rotten dinner leftovers in.

Maybe the copper will turn to an emerald green, and peach blossoms bloom out of the tin pots’ rust. Then let the grease weave a layer of silk brocade where germs brew a mist like twilit clouds at dusk.

Let the dead ditchwater ferment to green liquor bubbling up floating pearls out of its white foam, little pearls growing to bigger pearls in chuckles that burst when liquor-raiding mosquitos come.

And so a dead ditch rank with despair’s backwater can claim something lively, bright and all its own. If the frogs here can’t handle the solitude this stagnant muck can gurgle them up a tune!

This is a dead ditch rank with despair’s backwater. No place for a Thing of Beauty in its juice. Let’s just let Hellion Ugliness culture it and see what kind of world it can produce.

I've been down on my luck lately and I came across this Poet while researching Anna Louise Strong, they're buried in the same cemetery. I hope my art and writing has even 0.0001% impact theirs has had. None of the locals seem to want to work with me, idk if it's because I lack the skills, am being replaced by machines or it's due to prejudices, but it's a shame I truly just wished to make the world a better place.

It kind of bothers me because I think every human being who's willing is capable of learning, but to be treated as being unable to learn makes me feel like I'm being treated as less than human. I hope one day prejudices will be able to be set aside and the world will be full of flowing fresh waters, for everybody.
