I think I may have left this disc about 700 miles away. I may have to hit the high seas to play it again.

I still use jerboa quite often but have been considering moving. It worked well for a couple years but the last month or two there are stupid things like, not being able to scroll back up through the comments where it'll get stuck, or if I collapse a comment, and try to reopen it the content is blank so I have to exit the comment section and reopen to be able to the top of the comment section and start over. If it is a long comment thread you then have to scroll slow because if you miss the comment you collapsed by accident you can't scroll back up to find it because the first problem. At that point I just give up on that and move on.

I made a post about it in the jerboa thread a month ago, it appears to be happening to more than just me, and across multiple devices, even someone on graphene said it was happening to them.

The claims in this post say it effects games moving forward, no games bought previously. And that the game isn't uninstalled or anything of the sort, it means if you haven't connected to the Internet in 30 days you would have to connect to open the game. (Not sure what the reasoning would be, maybe they are trying to ensure people do updates, not sure). Someone else claimed above that it is fake all together, but I haven't verified it.

The real issue here for most people to me would be if a game is eventually removed from their network and whether or not they remove the check in requirement if the digital game is removed. (Aka would the game be lost forever because Sony stopped hosting it, even if you had a copy on an external drive).

Yeah sorry, I was trying to expand on what you were saying, not refute it

I know no one in the U.S. that measures anything in yards outside of football. It's feet/miles. We don't say we are 2y1" tall.

Your view is that him getting shit faced drunk and all damages and injuries that occur should be covered by the public. We aren't his servants. If you want to do whatever you want, dont do it on the property where we will held liable. Also I agree it shouldn't matter who you fuck, but if it's a journalist/reporter, all subject matter pertaining to your position is now null and void. It's like fucking the health inspector, someone else needs to be doing the inspection then.

Yeah my first thought was that those aren't memes, they are the "guidance" I guess. The words are the message, the background sets the tone. Bad luck Brian isn't the meme, he's what sets the stage that lets you know the tone for the hook.

If someone says: "Toenail needs cutting

Kick a brick wall"

Youd be like okay that's excessive .. but you put chaos wolf behind it and your like, I shouldve expected that

[–] LifeInMultipleChoice@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I'm sure also people see it as paying money to help organize benefits for their area, and then when they asked what happened with their money they see dude getting shit faced drunk without pants on and using the excuse he vomited on himself off their money, in the building they paid to build... They think resigning is the respectable thing to do. Government jobs are supposed to be civil servants, not night clubs.

Believe it's the point of the post. Voting for someone who supports pulling money from the impoverished and giving it to the ultra-rich.... While being impoverished.

The fact that 90% of the population isn't voting against corporate Democrats and Republicans who support the current taxation and distribution of wealth that supports just 10% of the population to thrive and the rest to struggle is terrible. But they spend millions on advertising and billions on other media venues to push the agenda to protect the status quo.

You are regurgitatating what the government wanted you to say without even reading what I said. I don't want it to be crypto. I want it to not be owned by local governments. You've been taught to say all of that, and none of it is required. If a currency is accepted by people because they know they can use it, a local government has no say. If 340 million Americans started accepting penguin print as currency tomorrow, the government would try to ban it, call it only used for buying drugs, not actually backed by anything, doesn't really exist, and everything you have heard about crypto... Because it takes power away from the government. But in reality they couldn't do anything but accept that penguin print is a currency, because you can trade it for goods and services. And if 200 nations across the world do it... Then if a local government fails, the amount a chicken costs on penguin print, doesn't fluctuate much

That's what we have been saying?

I'll host the rest of the downloads if someone can point me to a copy of episode 6. I have no problem buying it, I just want to establish a set copy that is available to everyone in the future if they are in hard times

If that is disrespectful let me know your feeling, but I just want to spread the show

Thought process: Elizabeth II became queen in 1952, the first bond book Ian Flemming made released 1953. Bonds whole story normally until they try to actualize things is that he is already married to queen and country, so he no matter what chooses her over all. The last movie released before she died. Instead of "shaking things up" by picking a younger Bond, I think it would be better if they just end it on a Bond many didn't like, a retiree. (Many did like him as well..). But I feel it would be a fitting ending.

If anything just bring a new 00 agent, one that's fit for a new era

Basically the title, if I click a comment to collapse sub-comments, when you re-expand all content is gone. Has anyone else seen this? Running android version 14 - moto g play 2024.

Anyone else seeing similar?

My brother isn't a fool, but I am curious how many children especially in the Florida area will have to grow up being taught that it's the Guld of America while their own parents think why? while most of the world and country looks at them like really?

So to not be a complete ass and prepare for the future, what do you guys think would be adviseable to both address such in person, teach your kids to address in person, and address it in a manner so a child is treating like discussionn, not a "clash" per say .

I have to acknowledge there may very well be a time when my niece/nephew were told by their teacher in school, there is no Gulf of Mexico

Not sure if I'm supposed to say something to the store, Crest or is this just how shitty toothpaste now comes?

Aloha, I'm being dumb. I tried to move away from using PIA- private Internet access do to some suggestions. I bit the bullet and finally switched VPNs after ~5 years or so.

I know others may say it's dumb but I was going to try Proton VPN. On my phone, no issues. If I run the installers in Mint though, I can't seem to get it to install. Tried the Debian install, tried the Ubuntu install, but no luck. Specifically the command sudo apt install proton-vpn-gnome-desktop Will always return an unable to locate package, even while running from the same directory I run the wget commands and such from.

Is there something that you have seen that works well with this? I need to set that machine back up for a split tunnel for a couple specific apps and not others.

Folder Permissions (lemmy.world)

This is likely a Linux question, I just am wondering why I can't unplug an external, plug it into a new jellyfin setup (different machine), run chmod 777 for a local network and have it work.

It won't add any of the drives/folders. Seems like an easy task, Windows or Mac OS could do it without thought, it's a drive, with permissions. Why am I fighting it?

Gravy Waste (lemmy.world)

I was trying to throw together some quick items to have something for dinner later. Some penne was left, some rotini was left, had some hot sausage I meant to use for a pizza the other day, but the spouse didn't want sausage that day, whatever, make a quick dish.

Cook the bottom of the box penne and rotini, throw the sausage in a pan, season/brown in, throw it into the pot of drained pasta.

Take the sausage juice/fat and add flour to it to start a roux. Everything seems good, poor in the last of the milk.. wait, was that thick. Crap it smells off, check the jug, best by January 7th. Son of a b, can't get that sausage fat back to start over, and the milk is gone. Looking for liquids because I don't have any broth or such in the pantry. Ugh

Old cameras but they have been sitting.

What can I use to record and ensure the data is saved locally. Nothing serious, just chickens being accused of hurting plants when they are monitored. I just want to catch whatever it is (deer? Etc?) eating it so I can have evidence it isn't them

I made a comment earlier mentioning Limbitless and I am curious what it's reach really is, have people heard of it, has it helped a number of people, or few?

It was a non-profit starter in ties with the University of Central Florida to provide prosthetics to those whom could not afford it.

Edit: I just added a URL for reference in the body

Quick math is the one thing computers were always good at, not anymore apparently.

I had 13 chickens which is a lot for many. None of my birds are small but all loving. I had to cut my flock from 13 to 7 because I was worried about feeding to much on neighboring floras. I made the cut from 13 to 7 near Halloween. Then 2 pit bulls showed up and attacked the coop that day killing missexed rooster. (Oct. 31). I never wanted a rooster, but he fought and defended the flock, and the only other hen injured by an 80/60lb set of male/female blue pitbullsade me question. Maybe I do want a rooster. He died October 31, I set a few eggs aside in literally a Styrofoam box, with half a strand of Christmas lights in it, pull out, push in to get the right temperature (less) ... And a chick was born. Rediulous one at first, 39 mins from start to finish. (Absolutely ridiculous). Now. A second is being born. (I assume 12-18 hours) The rooster passed on 10/31
