Un-fucking-believable breaks this.

I'm always annoyed that people don't get that space isn't cold or hot, since heat is a property of matter, and that's exactly what a vacuum doesn't have. Your travel mug example is great. I'm going to start using it.

Honey

Very good.

What I want to know is if the bumble bee is called that because of the word bumble, or if the word bumble got that meaning because of the bee......ok, so a visit to wiktionary tells me the word bumble came first, then was applied to the bee.

EDIT: Wait, it may be the other way around. bumblebee came from humbul-be and merged with Middle English bombeln humble meaning to buzz. Man, I still don't really even know.

My fingers feel....feel like wood.

That's exactly it. They were TOO close to making BB remake a reality, so they had to be stopped.

Haha, indeed! As if there wasn't enough to explain as it is.

OK, so there is 1 single piece of data which I remembered seeing but I couldn't remember where. Suppressed weapons have a 12 meter audible range: https://helldivers.wiki.gg/wiki/Stealth#Weapons

But what of the rest of the weapons?

I'm loving the new stealth capabilities, but the whole thing is extremely vibesy. The rules of thumb are just stuff like "don't touch patrols unless you can quickly wipe all of their human-sized bots at once" and "run away and let a patrol/bot drop despawn". I get that it's a game and we're supposed to just feel it out, but some things are quite counterintuitive, like how popping a mine or a rocket strider's side rocket doesn't raise alertness any more than quietly popping a bot head. I'm finding no answers for any of the following.

  1. What is the detect range of a bot if you're standing still in the plain open and they walk up to you? How about crouched/prone? With or without various armors?
  2. How does moving affect the above?
  3. What is a bot's cone of vision?
  4. Do all bots have the same visual detect range/cone?
  5. Does visual cover actually do anything? Are all pieces of cover the same (i.e. does a wall block as well as a tree or vice versa)?
  6. What about partial cover? Is having only your head or weapon exposed as good full cover or as bad as no cover?
  7. Does being obscured by brush/vegetation do anything? If so, does being in the brush work as well as being behind it?
  8. How close can you get to a bot outside their vision crouched/prone with or without various armors?
  9. Do all bots have the same hearing range?
  10. Does moving through brush make more sound?
  11. What are the bot states of alertness and how do they work? What is the cooldown for making suppressed fire noises without truly alerting anything, and is that affected by range from the listener and/or the target?
  12. Do patrol bots alert static bots?
  13. How far away do you need to be to despawn something? How long does it take?
  14. How far away is the safe distance to make a ton of noise, like quasar-ing a fab?

There's a ton more I'm not thinking of, I'm sure. I'm not really equipped to start on this kind of science, or I'd consider it. Not expecting any real answers, but I'm just throwing this out there in case anyone has heard of anyone doing it or if you have thought about it yourself.

Grogan's Castle Lounge on Dublin. No music, live or otherwise. Only drinks, conversation, and legendary toasties.

I've been using Logseq for quite a while now and love it, however I'm kind of stuck on something in my process. When I work on something at my job, I'm often working on it for multiple days. How does anyone here capture that?

Do you do something like this?

[[figure out how to create x]]
  - item 1
    - subitem 1
    - subitem 2
  - item 2
[[change out every y in all of the zs]]
  - action 1
  - action 2

The thing is, I can then go to each one of those as a page and see everything, but I can't add to it for that day. I can just start the next day with an entry of [[figure out how to create x]], but I won't be able to see the whole thing while I'm doing it. I also won't be able to add something in context, like this without removing it from the day I'm working on it:

[[figure out how to create x]]
  - item 1
    - subitem 1
      - subsubitem 1
    - subitem 2
  - item 2

I see that you can copy and paste block refs, but that largely is the same thing as a page.

Do any of you deal with this? Should I not be so concerned about keeping my edits for the day?
