Shelly is another option, comes pre installed on CachyOS. It's aiming to modernise pacman. It's been pretty good for my usage.

It has a GUI that can handle native repos, the AUR, flatpaks and app images. It can also be used in your CLI as well

As a guy that exclusively fixes printers for my 9 to 5. I can confirm this is 100% true

Have you tried using their built in cachy-update tool? It does a few extra things during updates that may help. Search for it in the program menu and it should come up

Edit: Link to the tool if needed https://github.com/CachyOS/cachy-update

I also recommend Niagara, it's an excellent launcher

I'm using CachyOS currently. It's fast, so far stable and suits me.

Best pointer I can give you loads them all onto a USB with Ventoy and test them all on the live environment. What works for others may not work for you so go ham, break shit and have fun while exploring

I'll give it a look. Thanks!

I use boost. It has an ad free version.

Though you're making me wonder if I should change given your surprise haha

Hi,

Sorry if this has been posted before but I'm looking at trying Usenet instead of torrents.

I've done some Googling and honestly, it's a little overwhelming knowing what Usenet provider to use, where to get quality indexers and which download client would be the best.

If anyone has any resources or advice to help me sail the Usenet seas I would be eternally grateful!
