If enough people don't believe in either party, real revolution becomes a possibility.

And most of us won't live through that.

The illegal immigrant appears to face one of two options: work in slave like conditions for below minimum wage, or get deported.

Truth be told, I think the ice roundup is merely a spectacle. US business loves underpaid illegal immigrants with no healthcare. The US government loves it too because it reduces costs for whole industries, making everybody else somewhat better off. I do not believe the US will ever substantially reduce their use of illegal labor.

Unfortunately for your hot take, Iraq signed surrender and the US executed their former leader. The US objectively won that war. I get it, in your mind victory or defeat hinges on whether you like the victor or not, but reality doesn't work that way.

But if it's any consolation, Iran also defeated Iraq and the US didn't take on Iraq alone. I personally don't believe Iraq was a worthy opponent for the US. But saying the US hasn't won a war since WW2 is factually incorrect.

They exist because trashy disrespectful people exist.

So Iraq being in disarray after defeat somehow implies the US lost the war against them?

And wider conflict? Do you think Iraq was some sort of peaceful neighbor leading up to its demise?

I've heard of Mark Zuckerberg. I haven't heard of Joan Donovan. Why the fuck does anyone care what some Joan Donovan has to say?

Ok, so this person has a wiki article and in it there was apparently some drama about how Joan believes she was fired from Harvard due to pressure from Meta, which the university denies. So now I guess this is her life now.

It's the inevitable end result. It's pretty hard to compete with money. They just keep buying your leaders.

Iraq was a pretty clear military victory.

It's really sad to see someone at a very low point in their life.
