I started to use faugus launcher instead.

I do wish the gaming meta package in Catchy Hello allowed to only remove Lutris

Cant even afford one haha my trusty 2070 super still works great for my needs.

I wonder how much power two 5090s would draw?🤔

Energy bill through the roof I guess.

I mainly use Yazi, Dolphin and sometimes Double Commander inside my GameImages.

I like the workflow of Yazi its so fast and the plugins provide most features that I require. It is terminal based which I really started to like.

I unplug the PC when I'm done. There are regular thunderstorms during this season.

So power surges happen from time to time. To prevent my PC from frying I completely cut the power source after I'm done and away from home. And since I'm using an old ass dell monitor (really should start looking for an modern one) I don't have to keep the monitor connected to power for pixel cleaning.

I'm no expert, but using Linux as well, I do reboot mostly since A: my pc wakes up randomly when put to hibernation (haven't fixed it yet). B: I'm using SSDs so a cold boot takes no time at all.

What kind of hibernating are you referring to? Since if its on RAM I can imagine possible data loss when the power is cut.

My next phone will be running /e/OS. Seems to be a suitable alternative for my needs.

For those looking for an alternative, try stoat.chat or matrix

Hello guys,

I've been using Cachyos for like a year or so; I switched to it after daily driving Mint for 2 years. With CachyOS, I installed limine and Btrfs. The reason being that I like its snapshot capabilities. I was just minding my own business and booting my system like normal. But I decided to check out the snapshots.

There I noticed that the newer snapshots were missing. So I booted the system like usual and opened Btrfs Assistant. Then I went to the tab called 'snapper' and saw that the last rule had the value 50 (see screenshot). It told me my boot partition was running out of space, so for now, I would like to limit the number of snapshots to keep. (Too lazy to perform a boot partition resize right now.)

My question is, does that number 50 represent the number of total snapshots my OS tries to make/keep?

I will increase the boot partition when I have time (if needed, for now I reduced the value to 10; I don't know why it was 50 to begin with).

Thanks in advance!
