Yeah, they’re definitely a nice break from the depressing-ish news cycle I’ve got on my feeds:)

IDK but for me, it really emphasizes the fact that there are barely any women on here lol

Am petite Asian woman who is a healthy weight. I do see overweight Asian women (Asians in general) though. It’s becoming more common IMO as people’s diet’s are getting worse/more indulgent. More delicious options eating out, less home-cooking. But I was raised a certain way, with lots of home-cooking lol. -> Eat a balanced meal. My table spread must look balanced! So even if I order pork belly, I have to order a side of dark greens, or maybe a light veg soup. I also don’t eat too much rice. And my best compliment for dessert? “Ah! Not too sweet” 🤣 (this one’s funny, it’s kind of an older Asian insider running joke. I sound like my mom lmao)

ALSO! There’s something about eating “family style” (shared plates). You actually don’t eat as much bc you don’t want to take everything. It’s not like eating let’s say American style, where you get a huge plate in front of you. It pushes you to want to finish the plate. With family style, you naturally eat a bit slower, you only take what you can finish.

I don’t really feel it, but I think that’s because I’m not on all the time. I’m often busy with real life, so I just come on when I have extra downtime. There’s definitely an ebb and flow. None of that matters to me though. I’m all in for the Fediverse 100%.

White light is a must for makeup, or any time where you need to see colors accurately. Otherwise give me yellow all the way lol. I love the coziness.

Seconding a warm toned concealer, something like a peachy color like this, OP! Counteracts blue/purple on the color wheel. Look into color correcting concealers.

Just came in! I’ve never splurged this much on boots before, but my last cheapo ones scuffed and tore at the heel so I figured I need to spend on some quality ones for my next purchase.

As far as the construction, this review really sold it for me: https://youtube.com/watch?v=T50J8kej5bU

I’m normally a US Womens’ size 5.5-6, and I bought my usual size 6. So far they feel great, sturdy. And I notice they’re very thick compared to my previous pair of boots. The leather is quite stiff, although that’s probably because they’re new. It feels a bit snug on the width and ankles with thick socks on, so my first impression is that these boots run smaller.

Can’t wait to wear them this fall/winter🤗

Just from a brief lookup, Vital Farms seems pretty legit plus they have the Certified Humane label. But I like that their website lets you look at the particular farm on a live video feed! For example, link to where these eggs came from, Farmer Johnson’s farm🐓 I just loved to see the little ladies clucking around😊

This wikipedia is a rabbit hole lol. Also relevant is the one for spontaneous generation:

While England endeavours to cure the potato-rot, will not any endeavour to cure the brain-rot, which prevails so much more widely and fatally ?
