It may be because the basic account is so much cheaper (€1/mo) that they offset it with higher prices for additional storage. Just out of genuine curiosity, why would anyone need that much storage for e-mail?

I've been using /e/OS on a FP6 for a few months now and I'm very happy with it (edit: for context I'm in Europe). I had doubts about whether it could run certain apps like bank or government apps but they work just fine. Most of the default apps work well, but I did replace the launcher because the one that comes with /e/OS doesn't have as many features as I would like.

Battery life is also better than previous phones I've used. I don't know if that's because of the hardware or because the OS is less resource hungry.

One thing to watch out for is it doesn't have a headphone jack, though you can get a separate adapter that plugs into the charging port.

Obviously no-one is going to, but it would funny if someone working at Apple changed it to Lake Canada instead.

I got the list off a random website and didn't check for accuracy. Maybe they do jelly beans?

Is this accurate? maybe. Was it way too much effort for a shitpost? Probably. Was it worth it? Definitely! :)

Yeah, I only said 'alleged' because I haven't been following it that closely and am not familiar with the latest details. Last time I saw anything about it Rockstar looked guilty as hell.

I would probably buy it (when it's on sale at a reasonable price!) if it wasn't for the poor treatment of their employees and alleged attempts at union busting.

That is pure evil! Made me itchy just reading it.

Nothing demonstrates innocence quite like trying to stop an investigation.

I watched a movie recently where he didn't die. I was shocked!

I had the same problem with lack of information before I bought a phone with /e/OS.

I bought a Fairphone Gen.6 a few months ago and love it! My bank and government apps work on it, which surprised me, but the OS was pre-installed and had the bootloader locked which probably helped.

Battery life is very good (I can leave it on standby for up to four days) and it had some solid choices for pre-installed apps. The one thing I didn't like was the launcher / home screen so I switched it out for one with more features.

Basically /e/OS looks and behaves like stock Android except for the privacy invasive stuff. There is an app on the phone that blocks and shows you all the trackers in other apps on your phone. Ironically Murena's own apps seem to be some of the worst offenders, but their privacy app blocks them.

I understand what you're saying, but as long as they keep operating in the same way while gaining users it's better for everyone. More users means more privacy because it gets harder to tell traffic from different users apart.

You can use protondb.com to look up those games to see if they work using Steam's Proton compatibility layer.

The Sims 3 worked for me but just make sure it's installed on the same drive as Steam or it may not work properly. The launcher sometimes didn't work either but there are workarounds for that.

I recently got an e-mail from Fairphone that they will be ending support for Fairphone 3(+) in a couple of months and I'm thinking about getting a replacement with /e/OS installed on it instead of Android.

All the independent information I can find seems to be from two or three years ago, so I was wondering if anyone with recent experience or knowledge has any thoughts about it?

I'm not interested in recommendations for other operating systems as I'm only considering switching from Android because there is an option for it to come pre-installed on the latest Fairphone with the bootloader locked, which may solve a few headaches. I'd just like to know if /e/OS has any gotchas to be aware of and if Ecorp/Esolutions/Murena are considered to be reputable (i.e. they're not going to steal my data).
