Yes. I'm trying to figure out if it's worth buying a model that comes with /e/OS pre-installed or if it's better to stick with Android.
She is still at school and the article states that she has missed two weeks of classes already ahead of her final exams. There is a quote from the headteacher of her school stating “She is currently missing taught lessons across all subjects and is at risk of missing important assessments, including GCSE exams.” In this case it's not just 'framing' but an important detail.
Someone once said "don't let perfection be the enemy of good" ... or something like that.
Anyway, my point is it's good that this kind of stuff is starting to get into mainstream media, even if they don't go into as much detail as they could.
They might not have wanted to scare people off by giving them too much information all at once, especially things like the Fediverse which even lots of tech savvy people don't really understand.
It works fine for me. When you changed servers, did you also change countries? Sometimes all the servers in a country will claim I am connected when I can't access anything and changing to a different country fixes the problem.

Describing volume dials as "retro" is setting a very low bar for what can be considered retro. Also, it should have been super obvious to car makers from the start that using a touchscreen for almost everything was a really bad idea! As others have pointed out, you need to be able to control the car without having to take your eyes off the road for more than a couple of seconds.

Hmm... I might have to look into the WhatsApp issue as I still need it for work, friends and family (not my choice). Do you think it makes any difference if the bootloader is still locked? I think /e/OS devices from FP come locked.
