A constitutional republic is a form of representative democracy.

I'm very doubtful about you being proven right here, since both Russia and Ukraine claim it's happening. It's published Russian policy. It's unlikely Russia's propaganda number is true (hopefully at least), but imo it's undisputed that it is in fact happening. UN investigators also have stated that this is going on.

Like, this isn't just accusations, Russia confesses to doing this.

Do note that some of these children have been returned, apparently up to 2100 from what I could find.

Not necessarily. Economies adapt over time. The greying of the population doesn't happen instantly, it happens over several decades. Economies have survived such things in the past, and they will continue to do so in the future. Standard of living may change for certain groups, but I doubt this requires poverty.

Ukrainian authorities verified the identities of 19k children. Russian authorities claim upwards of 700k children. Like, I'm not sure why you're disputing the fact this is happening when neither Ukraine nor Russia is disputing it.

It may radically reshape the economy, but that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. Things evolve over time to adapt to new circumstances.

So has Russia returned these kids to their parents orrr.....?

Nuclear is a bad fit for that, because it's too expensive and has poor "reaction times" compared to other energy sources.

Vadim Papura did not burn to death. You can google the pictures of his funeral, his body wasn't burnt. He's listed as one of the 8 people who didn't burn or die from carbon monoxide poisoning that day.

It's also still not clear who or what exactly caused the fire. Both sides were flinging molotov cocktails at each other after the anti-maidan protestors attacked pro-maidan protestors. There's evidence suggesting it started inside (eg due to an accident). That's why there were no charges; even the anti-maidan protestors who were arrested were released because none of the charges could stick.

The main person in charge of the police response was dismissed by the government for his failings that day.

Russian Wikipedia lists the same information.

Why isn't your smartphone ~~conscious~~ capable of experiencing qualia? Or a desktop PC? We've had chatbots for ages, those were never considered ~~conscious~~ capable of experiencing qualia by anyone. What is it about LLMs specifically that suggests ~~consciousness~~ they are capable of experiencing qualia to you?

Who says qualia are required for consciousness? Why isn't your smartphone conscious? Or a desktop PC? We've had chatbots for ages, those were never considered conscious by anyone. What is it about LLMs specifically that suggests consciousness to you?

Also calling people OpenAI stooges for arguing LLMs aren't conscious is a bit odd, given that OpenAI heavily marketed ChatGPT as being "so smart" it might be conscious. To them it's a selling point, not an ethical roadblock.

But even ignoring the zero% chance that LLMs are conscious, there's also the additional hurdle of assuming that LLMs can indeed "suffer" (whatever that might mean to an algorithm) and that LLMs indeed suffer from serving humans. Plus the whole "if it doesn't serve a human, it's existence essentially ceases to be"-issue with your argument, which arguably would be even less ethical.

Rendering issue then? Yours doesn't show the rounded corners in the bottom so there's definitely supposed to be more there.
