I hope that you have some people in your life that you can get support from. Please don't let mysoginists undermine or gaslight you to think that you don't matter. Wishing you well, OP.

You have an excellent new supervisor.

Repeating fungus gnats as the answer. I use a few strategies to manage them:

  • yellow "sticky strips" (can be purchased at garden stores and Amazon) that you stick into the pot. They're ugly, but the flies love them.
  • dish soap bath for plants that can handle it (the blue Dawn extra strong soap is best).
  • bottom watering, or letting the top of the soil dry out between waterings

Humid environments require lighter watering. You might want to get a soil moisture detector so you can see how moist your soil really is and determine if you need to water.

You just know that she's sending "hey Hun" messages while waiting in lines.

She's my roommate's cat and my new feline roommate. She's 4 and is super sweet, loves scriches, and racing people up the stairs. Please forgive the clutter in the images - we moved 2 weeks ago (Stella loves the ever-changing box collection).

I think the overall style is fun, but symmetrical eyebrows and lips would make it better (this is meant as constructive criticism)- it makes the image seem a bit 'off'. You're work is showing great range, and I appreciate your experimenting with the medium. Keep up the great work!

As it should be. What Marge wants she gets.

I thought it was a pillow until I looked closer - master of camouflage!

I don't think he should be held responsible for the politics of the human servants in his house.

I've had most these for 1-2 years and love how crazy they look.

Zone 8b

Varieties: Russian blue, white

Grown in potato planting bags for good drainage. They are in the process of flowering, and some have produced a fruit (very poisonous - do not eat it). Hoping for lots of potatoes this year 🙂

The floppy plants to the left are garlic (soft and hardneck Italian). They are fine; they got too tall and fell over.

My lithops have been in various stages of splitting for the past few months. They have decided to show the process all in one pot! The potting medium is perlite.

I saved this plant from my office 6 months ago because it had nearly no leaves, and now she's green and growing in a unique way. If this is what healthy looks like, it's all good with me.
