I prefer 110 cameras, but harder to get developed.

I order one too replace my ten+ year old asus. I can install open wrt on it, but since i didn't have a transition router as a placeholder I had to pick up something newish.

Yeah it's only wifi 6, but that's fine. Any one have first time tips with this device?

This is cool, but since is using lxd in the backend, i wonder how well someone can migrate the containers between systems? I guess non-stateful migration should be possible....

Killing of the farmers will be a new excuse to increase the price of food

It's more that my daily life tasks have no use for AI agents or llms. I have dabbled with running local llms and agents, but idk yet, just haven't gotten enough out of it that it seems worth it.

This is how skynet gets everyone that isn't polite to AI.

I see a ton of i5-8th gen 2-in-1s with dead batteries, but under 100 on ebay

Just look at the processors in the Synology offerings, you didn't need much to run a bunch of services.

I got my kid a used dell that was $90 on eBay and it's running linux just fine with the 8th Gen i5. If you need more you can likely just spend 100 more. I have a hard time justification for new unless you have a need for specific hardware

I have been drinking this recipe most of this week. Just wanted to share.

Aeropress
Water temp 175 F
Beans 2.3g ~ 2.8g
Water 35ml
Milk 4oz ~ 6oz
With the aeropress inverted (around the 1 mark)
Add coffee and water.
Stir after a few seconds.
Install filter and press into cup all the way down.
Add Milk.
Enjoy

I'm using unsweetened Almond Milk currently. My beans are a Columbian lite roast that I home roast.

I came up with this as a way to enjoy some coffee at night actually, but have been enjoying it in the morning.

I enjoyed the Legend series by Marie Lu, but I'm not sure about her new book. Is anyone else looking to read or has finished it?

I ordered a bag of Lavazza Super Crema for playing with my espresso machine, but wanted to try it out in the V60 for kicks.

Set the ESP to 24 and ground 17g. Brewed with 320ml of water. Coming from mostly light roasts, this taste a bit on the dark side for me, but overall a good balanced cup of coffee. I may go corser on the next brew, maybe 26.

I did 50ml for bloom (30 seconds) Add 70ml wait ten seconds Add 100ml wait ten seconds Add final 100ml

Happy brewing.
