OMG it's so pretty! Does this surprisingly cute creature have a common name, or just isopod?

It's giving me eyeshadow inspo haha she's got my ideal pale princess colors.

I recently watched a woman at work walk out of the stall, pick her lunchbox up off the counter next to the sink, and walk out without washing her hands. Double whammy of ๐Ÿคข

It's okay to touch them, they're always your friend they won't hurt you.

I LOVE these, big big fan! They're at all the public-land hiking trails around me. Nice little trail map, often dry-erase notes over the glass marking flooded trails or temporarily protected areas. History lessons or something about what makes the area special. Single mittens and kit left like a makeshift lost and found. You know you're in for a really good hike when they have a sign in book! Such an underrated low-cost public service.

Absolutely! I use the Libby app and a regular library card. They link up so you can read all the ebooks in your library system for free, just like checking a regular book out. Sometimes you have to wait for a popular book, which I usually try to appreciate as a rare exercise in patience but can be annoying of course. But it's actually free, no adds, simple to use.

Why are they so drawn to the basement ceiling

My kid is the homie in this meme waaay too often, I always keep a couple new old-fashioned toothbrushes on hand. Keeps her out of my hair all evening, and her friends are always so polite and clean up after themselves because they think they're getting away with something.

It's nice of your Mom to help out in-between shifts

You have a good vet, they know that all torties need to be wrapped up like a little baby sometimes, for their health ๐Ÿ˜‚

A tortoiseshell cat wrapped up in a blanket like an angry wittle purrito

Mine loves being carried around like a wee baby!

Look at that honker!

a row of morels, featuring one big honker the length of my hand from base of the thumb to tip of the index. fat and juicy

She's hoping that you'll trip over her. If you go around, she'll lunge out at your ankles. Loads of fun either way!

We just got a batch of ten baby chicks! Two days old and they are already having a blast climbing and jumping off a little rock and sticks. This batch are all females, and are a random variety of "exotic" chickens. When their real feathers grow in it'll be fun to figure out what breeds we got!

They are just in an XL dog crate with foil insulation around the bottom edge, and a red heat lamp hanging from the top of the crate. I don't know if the foil actually helps retain any heat, but it does keep the chicks from escaping. It's a high security henitentiary.

My flock befriended this strange white bird today. It's the large one in the background of the attached pictures. It's the size of a small turkey, grey and white, with a prominent crest. It ate some scratch with my girls, then ate some wild blackberries, and departed into the woods.

We're in upstate NY. I've never seen a bird like this before. It almost looks like a peacock but, again, it's white and we are in upstate NY.

The girls liked her, she seemed harmless - they usually lose their shit if even a little sparrow tries to snag some scratch. They alert me to turkeys and deer regularly but didn't mind this stranger at all.

Can anyone help me identify this bird?
